I know there is a thread about the demo, but I have just bought the game and was wondering what people thought and whether they knew of any key cheap players to go for.
Bit pissed off that if you start off at North End theres no money to spend.
Just thought I'd open a thread really for people wanting to share any tips, players, hints and advice on the game.
Cant get into it at the moment and am starting to regret buying it.

Brilliant game.
i did a swap deal with derby for adam bolder (who is one of the best midfielders in the championship on the game) for liam chlivers. loaned Cb davies from middlesbough reserves. in january i sold Sean St Ledger Matt Hill And Neil Mellor. Ended up with 3 million. i signed magid boungurra(sorry for spelling from sheff wed anyway) Freddy Eastwood and Tony Capaldi for the left wing all with 1.75 million still got loads of money left for the end of the season.
Try and sign Bolder hes a great player im in march and hes scored 11 alredy nuge on 18 eastwood on 8 and im second behind hull of all teams lol

Funny you should say this because i asked Brian o Neil to recommend me a player and he said Bolder, and i thought bloody Adam Bolder, O' Neil the daft old jock! Bought Rory Delap instead who is quite good! May try and sort out a swap deal involving Nowland and Bolder!

Sold Sedge on mine for £500,000. Loaned in Vaughn from everton, Bouazza(sp) on loan from watford, he's immence on the left wing and Kabeya from Villa as cover for the right wing and centre. Bought Malky Mackay( St.Ledger broke his leg in preseason) for the defence. If you keep offering a contract to Teddy Sheringham he eventually agrees terms just before the transfer window shuts and he is amazing in the championship, you can get him for £70,000. If You have the cash spare, Crossley and Mcbride from Fulham have been excellent.

Can't be a footy fan if you hate FM2007.
It's like Catholics saying that they hate the Vatican.
I concur with Jacko above ^
Im really struggling to sign players either on loan or permenantly.
Anybody got any tips on this?
Ive only been playing the game for 4 days but its getting quite addictive but difficult!

If you are PNE Marcus I hope you are trying to sign players within your reach i.e. not players like Ronaldo. I find that on this game clubs are reluctant to let players go out on loan for no wage contribution at all. North end have a fair bit of wages to spend so that shouldn't be a problem, try and trim your sqaud down so any prospective player will think they have a better chance of first team football and when entering contract negotiations make sure you say they are going to be in the first team.Get rid of players like Hill, Agyemang, Smith et. al and i also sold Sedgwick, Ormerod and Mellor and they raised some serious cash. Try and set up a parent club with a team like Everton because they have some good youngsters Molyneux, Anichebe and a Norweigan or Danish lad (midfielder). Other players to try and get on loan are Hobbs, Sturridge and Agbonlahor, but make sure you contribute to their wages.
Top players to buy: -
Stenild - fuckin shit hot
Boskailo - Ditto
V. Hleb - mint striker
Vitti - may struggle with permit
Millan - Wow
Bolder- Some reason he is immense
Hope this helps mate

On my fm07... Got my preston into premiership first season, still there after two seasons, plus I won the FA cup... after knocking out: Newcastle, Everton, Liverpool, Chelsea, Totenham, and then Arsenal in the final, so i am now into the Euro Cup.
I got one of the moust sought after goalies in the game "Oscar Ustari" off Internacionale (or something), the Brazilian one for about £5, but he was bought off me by liverpool for over £6million, despite having offers of £7million, and have now got Chris Kirkland and Andrew Lonergan as my Goalies.
I have multiple internationally capped players, aush as Agyemang, Nugent, Lonergan, Nash, St Ledger, Jeremie Aliadiere, Oleg Husyev, Theo Walcott, Wayne Bridge, Andy Smith.
I have about £15million left in the transfer bank.
I manager to repurchase old favourite David Eyres who was able to retire at his favourite club.
I also found a player taller than Crouch!
Not Preston, but the same manager became manager of England, and won Euro 2008, and came in 3rd in the Confederations Cup.
I suggest buying Oscar Ustari (Internacionale "the Brazillian one), Matias Fernandez (Colo Colo), alexis sanchez (Udinese, on loan at Colo Colo), Giles Barnes (Derby), Jeremie Aliadiere (Arsenal Reserves), George Junior Weah (AC Milan), Matias Cahais(i forget who, but hes an Argentine)
Plus, has anyone seen how well Wigan Left Back "Leighton Baines" is doing? he's a first team regular at Manchester United on mine, plus he's in my England team
And some people may call it cheating, but a good way to get preston going well, make a quick manager at chelsea and buy one of our weaker players for about £60-70million, kept me going for that one season :D
Going back to what "jackopne" said about selling Nowland in an exchange, id just like to say that Nowland has become a regular in my team, and is doing well alongside multiple other players.

Ben Hinchcliffe gets class, hes capped on my game. Get him out on loan at a feeder club.
I set up a link with Everton.
I got Vaughn and Anichbe on loan.
Then i sold a couple of players including Sedge, and raised enough money to bring Billy Jones in.
I also brought Bouzzaa (sp?) from Watford on loan.
I got Teddy Sheringham in who seemed to score at first, but then didnt, so release him.
Mawene isnt brilliant, but for the first season play Kelvin Wilson in the right back role, he gets class, and his value rockets up.

You do seem to get alot of injuries in the first season or two, cant think of much to do to stop it, but try putting injured players in the reserves until their fit again. Somehow it does seem to help, keeps my injuries down a little.

Got this for Chrimbo too but on Xbox 360. It's a great game - probably nearest to this was Champ Man 94/95 for me.
In my first season. Tight budget, so sold Sedgewick. Got a few loan players, but coping with current squad.
