HELP NEEDED - Connecting SONY TV recorder to a Phillips TV with....

Two SCART outputs on each piece of equipment BUT also where the freeview encoder is built in to the TV.

I have connected everything up with the SCARTs and the RF ariel loop but can only get analogue TV channels 1-5 on the TV recorder display and the freeview listings. When I choose a digital channel the picture reverts back to BBC1.

So anyone, especially Roofer, got any ideas how to set this up successfully?

Check there aren't two rf inputs - one for analogue and one for digital. I know that Pioneer recorders have that system and it may be the same with your set up.
