Andrew Flintoff had to be rescued at 4.00 AM as he had gone on a night out and ended up going on a peddlo (a boat that has peddles) which ended up capsizing.:D

He has proper let himself down. The guy is playing in an international cricket and is out on the lash till 4am, not very impressive.
I'd drop him from the squad to teach him a proper lesson.

The aussies did the same with Andrew Symonds a while ago no messing about
He got his head down and came back a better player.

I am a hiuge Andrew Flintoff fan and am saddened to hear of this as i felt he had matured after his early drinking adventures around 2000 and 2001 before Mike Watkinson, Mike Atherton and Neil Fairbrother sat him down in the chaingin room and gave him a dressing down about fitness, attitude and lessons in life and after that he had seemed to turn teh corner and was realising his potential.
Maybe he is allowed one slip every now and again but i am sure no-one will be more disappointed in him than himself.
Come on Freddie Lad.

although freddie was the worse one, there were 5 others who went out drinking till 3am. bell, lewis, nixon, anderson and plunkett.
Should be sent home in my opinion. Yes it would be a huge loss but his actions were disgusting.
Thing is, with injury worries over a couple of players the management cannot afford to send him back. Once again, another fine mess.
I like Freddie, but when I read about this it not only made me mad as hell but made me consider what would have happened if it had been a member of the England FOOTBALL squad that had done this.
There would have been uproar.

It wouldn't be half as bad if we could actually PLAY one-day cricket. the fact that we are complete dog-wank only cements the fact that they should be focussing on the job in hand, and not fannying about on pedalos whilst leathered.
I don;t begrudge these lads a night out. Do I buggery. i think it's great that they have a laugh. but pissing about like that, the day before a World Cup match, when you're shit anyway, is completely out of order.

don't shoot the messenger!
LOL:D no probs graham.
I like Fred and have defended him on other topics on this board, but this time he is out of order.
Another person who is out of order is the legend that is Ian Botham, who criticised the england fans for "dobbing him in" as he put it.
The same england fans who are second to none when it comes to supporting
their team on tour, even when they are piss poor and dont deserve it.
He also defended fred and said if players go on the piss before a game its not a problem,as long as when they cross the white line they do the buisness on the pitch.
Now as newspaper joe points out were not!..we are a poor one day team.
Beefys biggest gripe about the poor ashes tour was preperation!!!
Fred is a top man, been daft but who hasn't? lets hope he now goes and does
the buisness on the pitch as he is a world class player.
Grahem you can print this off for granny if you want;) :D

Is it really that much to ask for him to keep his head on for 8 weeks?
Like other posters have said, if he was a footballer he would be slated, and rightly so.
He has let the fans down, himself down, and his team mates.
I stand by what I originally say, he should have been sent home. End of.

I bought him his second drink that evening and he's a top bloke.
The mood of the players was generally very sombre (if not entirely sober in some instances in the end) and the whole thing was blown out of all proportion.
Ever since that night, the players seem to be paranoid of even looking at a fan in case some tosser with a camera phone catches 'em sipping a shandy or checking out a bird.
What happened to "what goes on tour ..." eh ?
