    BT

Virgin Media have recently announced yet another price increase, the second one in the space of under a year so I'll soon end up paying close to 100 a month with them.

Think it's high time I started looking around as I've been with VM for over 11 years since they were Telewest.

The only other alternative out there it seems is BT (when it comes to Fibre Optic). I know it's a slower speed than VM for their top Broadband package but I don't think what I'm paying with VM is value for money.

Just wondering what people's thoughts are about them? Whats good, bad etc? How does it handle when it comes to online gaming (PS4)?

    I'd appreciate anyone's opinions.

Over the years i have swapped between sky fibre and talktalk fibre both very good for gaming ect i only swap between the two because of price either sky offer me a deal or talktalk i can not turn down.

I would never go with BT my friend has it, costs him a fortune for the exact service you get with Sky or talktalk.

Talktalk have a good deal at the moment 8.75 a month plus line rental also if you do it online they are offering 75 Love2shop vouchers which you can spend at argos ect.

Gaz, Phone virgin, tell them youre disgusted with the increases and want to cancel your services. Youll be put through to retentions who will do a deal to keep you there. Half price for 12 months isnt unusual.

Just remember that there are only two networks in this country. One is Virgin, the other is BT Openreach. So basically all the service providers apart from Virgin use the same two wires to your house. Just go for the best offer as the only difference will be the customer service side, which you won't know about until you have to contact them!

I have BT Fibre, never have a problem with PS4, Netflix, Firestick or watching Guiness on his porn webcam.

    I think it's great where I live.

And I maintain that it is one of the best areas around here.
