Meh. Been a big fan of bf since the beginning. This one however seems dumbed down, almost like they're trying to entice the cod players.

A military history twitter account I follow said this week they were glad that young gamers were learning about WW1 but disappointed they 'were being taught it was like this'..... whilst underneath were pictures of in game characters jumping out of amphibious landing craft with automatic rifles (never happened), British/German dogfights over the desert (never happened) and a German soldier dressed in metal body armour carrying and firing a heavy machine whilst bullets bounce off him.

I can't see the point of making games like this if they're going to be totally unrealistic.

It's a game, wouldn't be that fun if you was running round all the time with a bolt action rifle.

Although even I had a 'what the fuck man' moment at the bit were you're walking up a hill with a full suit of armour holding a big machine gun that looks like it should be mounted on a tank.

Wasn't World War 1 pretty much just years of trench warfare? It'd be a pretty fucking boring game.

    +1, first BF game I haven't bought since BF2.
