Did the BST committee seriously write and publish that letter?
That is one of the most deluded, ludicrously high-demanding job specifications for a prospective new owner that could possibly have been contrived. And highly arrogant for a club in League 2, with historic attendances at that level around the 4000 mark.
That list of demands (not a manifesto) is basically telling new owners that Blackpool fans will only be content when a series of extremely costly infrastructural, administrative and footballing upgrades have been made.
All of which are aimed at making the process of supporting BFC again cheap and idealistic, with absolutely no mention of how the Blackpool fan base will contribute towards these sweeping upgrades.
They also demand 'a proven manager, exciting football and good players' to be served up for them on a plate, which is both delusory (how can an owner guarantee that?) and highly arrogant of a League 2 club.
That letter can be summed up as: 'Hey new owner, pay for an entirely new squad, stadium revamp, relayed pitch, subsidise cheap tickets, food, beer, half time entertainment and just make sure that we always win at home, score at least twice and play 'entertaining' football, and we'll be happy.
What arrogant demands for a small club in League 2.
