    Latest Update.

29 JUN 2017 — Earlier this afternoon our petition was handed over to Preston City Council at the Town Hall.

We would like to place on record our thanks to Council Leader Peter Rankin and the other councillors who supported us today, as well as the fine band of PNE supporters (and PNE-Online forum users) that came along to the handover.
The biggest thanks though goes to everyone who has got behind this petition and we think 3000+ in under two weeks, close season, is a great achievement. Please continue to compile letters to the council and offering your support.

    You can submit them here
    http://publicaccess.preston.gov.uk/s...esults%3C/a%3E
The next stage will be for as many of as possible to attend the application meeting itself which we expect to be on the 10th August but we will confirm that as soon as we can.

PNE have just posted the following statement on their website, which I'm sure we all appreciate.

    https://www.pnefc.net/news/2017/june...-fans-support/

"Preston North End would like to thank fans for their support regarding the application for the new training ground.

Today, the supporters presented a petition against the rejection of the training ground plans before the council.

Just over 3,000 fans signed the petition in support of the club's plans to achieve the ultimate goal of promotion to the Premier League.

The club would like to place on record once again its thanks to all those involved, and as mentioned previously, the club have been encouraged by the fantastic backing received from our supporters."
Ultimately we all want the same thing and that is success for our football club and the prosperity of the people of Preston.

With today's news it is worth remembering - No matter who the manager is, the owner, the staff, one thing is constant and that is our support. This campaign has highlighted this.

Thank You & Please continue to do all you can to support this campaign.

14 JUL 2017 — With the planning application set to be heard on the 10th August at Preston Guild Hall, we believe that today (14/07/17) is the last day for you to add your words of support for the application.

We are delighted to hear that plenty of these forms have been completed but as we have stated in previous updates we expect the residents association to have ensured a large number of objections will have been sent.

They have been advised to refer to the 'Preston Plan', however it is worth highlighting that this plan CAN BE AMENDED.

Key points again to support the application -

Over 60% of gifted parkland, allotments, orchards, green space for ALL to use.

30% Affordable housing for our children to buy (Only 10% is required by law).

A Premier League standard training facility for the city's only football club to help the clubs aspirations to top flight football.

Over 3000 signature petition handed in to Preston City Council which was signed by thousands of Prestonians.

You only need to write a few points if time is short but please do so.

Every single letter of support will help.

    Thank You.

20 JUL 2017 — All the tickets for the August 10th Planning meeting in which the new Preston North End F.C. planning application for Ingol will be heard were snapped up in just over an hour this morning.

We are pleased to confirm ourselves and many other supporters of the application will be in attendance at the meeting.

We are cautiously optimistic that the new application, with the inclusion of additional parkland will be accepted which will be of benefit to all Prestionans.

Planners recommend approval for resubmitted application.

    PNE-Online
2 AUG 2017 — As expected Preston City Council's planners recommended the resubmitted Ingol Development for approval on Tuesday. They once again on balance releftced that the positives of this application mean it should be accepted by the planning committee on the 10th August.

Alongside our petition which was submitted in July the council accepted 136 letters of support which reflected the planning process of which there is a summary below.

"The land is currently in private ownership and obsolete, largely inaccessible to the public and would be better utilised as a park for the local residents.

The proposed park would be the largest public green space area in Preston.

The ambitions of Preston North End Football Club in delivering a first class training facility are supported due to the prestige and economic benefits that top flight
football would deliver to the city.

The proposed affordable housing would be a significant benefit to the scheme as it
is needed in the area and may help to retain graduates in the city.

The football club’s current training facilities at Springfields are inadequate and are holding back progression and development of the club.

The proposals strike a fair balance between development and community green
    open space.

The Committee resolution to approve the training facility application (Ref:
06/2017/0181) in June 2017 is a material consideration in the determination of this application as it establishes an acceptance of the principle of development on the golf course to a level which means an 18-hole course is no longer achievable.

The creation of new and enhancement of existing cycle and pedestrian routes through the site would be a significant improvement to accessibility in the area."
We are cautiously optimistic that the application will be passed and we look forward to seeing many of you at the Guild Hall next week.

Thank you to everyone who backed our petition, to everyone who lobbied and contacted the council or attended today's meeting on this issue. Today is a huge day for our football club and I for one can no wait to see the new facilities once they are completed.

I'm very proud in the small way our forum has helped with this application and you can all give yourselves a proud pat on the back tonight.

On behalf of PNE-Online, Myself and PNE as a whole thank you.

10 AUG 2017 — We are delighted that the Planning Committee of Preston City Council today passed the clubs planning application for the development at Ingol.

We would like to thank everyone that signed our petition and got behind our campaign behind the clubs ambitious plans.

John Kelly the organiser of PNE-Online's campaign told the clubs official website that he was delighted with the outcome of today's meeting.

“It is a pleasing moment after all the fans came together. I have never seen the fans so united behind one thing at one time. It was mentioned in the meeting about the signatures on the petition being from all over the world and that shows that people care about Preston North End and it doesn’t matter where they live, they are right behind it.

“Hopefully now the club can push on and this can help us bring in the players we need to compete in this division – it shows that if the fans and the club work together, we can get somewhere.”

We would like to extend our thanks to everyone who helped us spread the word and highlight the long term benefits this development will have for the people of Preston.

Preston North End are delighted that the Planning Committee of Preston City Council today passed our planning application for the privately owned land at Ingol.

This planning application gives a balanced long term solution to the land at Ingol and will include a substantial area of new public open space as well as the site for our planned new state of the art training facilities.

In being grateful to the members of the planning committee for their decision we would also especially like to thank the thousands of our supporters who have backed us in this project, our local paper, the Lancashire Post and in particular John Kelly who played a crucial role in organising the petition of support that was presented to the City Council.

We will now start the hard work of turning the planning consent into reality.
