It's a small world. I went to school with Hayhurst's bird. I think they subsequently got married. I remember her parents had a pub and Hayhurst and De Freitas were in one night, about 30 years ago.

In Graeme Fowler's book he recalls Hayhurst, who was renowned for thickness, chatting up a fit looking sun tanned bird in a pub and he asked her if she was a 'sunship worper'. She later asked him to sign his autograph on her packet of fags and he told her 'I'm not signing that pag facket.'
