This is my music for today, released this morning and at first listen its an incredible album and brilliantly done by his wife until he died Faith Evans.

Basically tells there story together by using previous biggie verses and a few unheard ones and faith adding her singing. his mum also does the interludes on the album & several artists that biggie was close too are on the album, very very impressed by it.

Tracklist in case anyone is interested is as follows

    1. “A Billion”
    2. “Legacy”
    3. “Beautiful (Interlude)”
    4. “Can’t Get Enough”
    5. “Don’t Test Me”
    6. “Big / Faye (Interlude)” (Feat. Jamal Woolard)
    7. “Tryna Get By”
    8. “The Reason”
    9. “I Don’t Want It” (Feat. Lil’ Cease)
    10. “I Got Married (Interlude)” (Feat. Mama Wallace)
    11. “Wife Commandments”
    12. “We Just Clicked (Interlude)” (Feat. Mama Wallace)
    13. “A Little Romance”
    14. “The Baddest (Interlude)”
    15. “Fool for You”
    16. “Crazy (Interlude)” (Feat. 112 & Mama Wallace)
    17. “Got Me Twisted”
    18. “When We Party” (Feat. Snoop Dogg)
    19. “Somebody Knows” (Feat. Busta Rhymes)
    20. “Take Me There” (Feat. Sheek Louch & Styles P)

Just watching TOTP from 1983 on BBC4.

The top 30 counting down is ...

Yes, The Smiths, Culture Club, Madness, The Cure, Style Council, Lionel Ritchie, Howard Jones, Billy Joel, Ozzy Osbourne, Aztec Camera, Genesis, Wham, Simple Minds, Jacko, Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton, Eurythmics, Shaky, Macca and Jacko, Culture Club, The Assembly, Cliff, Tracey Ullman, Marilyn, Tina Turner, Slade, Thompson Twins, Billy Joel, Paul Young and Flying Pickets.

OK - there's been the odd casualty but they're mostly still going in one form or another. Incredible really and doesn't say much for the shite of recent years.

Dirk wears white sox, Adam & The Ants. Love car trouble arts 1 &2 but the rest of the album only so so. Seem to remember liking it more but ages since I last listened to it. Hard core fans love it but got a bit of a pasting from critics at the time.
It's better to burn out, than to fade away.
