I think I'm right in saying that the suffix "PNE" denoted that a vehicle originated in Manchester, hence they wouldn't be difficult to get hold of in this area.

Ulverston estate agent Ralph "Raffle Rigging Ralphy" Spours loves my town so much he shelled out for the number plate A1 ULV for his Merc. The boys at Ulverstonrant modified the newspaper pic accordingly though, and I think this really applies to anybody who shells out a fortune just to feed their ego.

It may amuse you to know that a couple of guys I worked with once did indeed make a number plate 1 CUNT and attached it to my car. It wasn't until I actually got to the hound trails at Coniston later in the evening that I realised what they'd done, much to the amusement of all.

Wow thanks for that bit of pecuniary advice. Given the thousands that I've pissed against the wall in recent times, it actually represents one of my more worthy purchases.

They're not that common in Hertfordshire either.
