I think Henry has offered some good personal experience to suggest that UU aren't all bad but you just may be blinkered in your outlook ?

I dont think anyone thinks UU are all bad, I certainly dont but Im still strongly of the opinion that any utility should never be entrusted to the private sector.

I don't disagree with that but we don't have any real way to say which would be best as there's no impirical data to base fact from I guess that's meaningful ?

          Got it !

Pay myself a lot of money !

          Brilliant wheeze.
They're Not for Profit organisations. That doesn't mean they don't make money, it just means that a) that money is designated a surplus and b) there are no shareholders to take the profit and run. instead the surplus is reinvested in the organisation's aims and purpose. Some of these Housing Associations are massive with huge assets and large t/o, so I think you're being a little unfair to allege that a £850m t/o HA loses it's entire surplus by paying the CEO £350k a year (especially when creating a surplus of >£150m.)

Itís fact that they are losing 430 million litres every day.

Henry tries to excuse that fact.

            Itís scandalous, itís wrong, agreed?

It seems very easy to ignore.

I wouldn't mind betting that between the directors and senior managers pay and bonuses they eat up a fair chunk of it.

Id support fixed margins for firms like this and UU.. With directors remuneration the same.
If you pay to watch the Premier League on TV.. you are part of the problem !

I wouldn't bother, you were about as popular as AIDS at Broughton High.
