Not sure about Zlatan, but Keane is an absolute necessity for PNE.

                • Looking unlikely to happen now....

New Republic of Ireland boss Mick McCarthy who guided the Irish to the 2002 World Cup finals during his previous six-year stint, has appointed Terry Connor and the Republic's all-time leading goalscorer Robbie Keane as his assistants.

                  Too bad

But given the situation here now, perhaps they could come to some kind of part time arrangement?

That's an absolutely splendid suggestion. I'll email Fartcatcher immediately

                          • Ok, this looks like the end...

"Today, after 23 wonderful years, I am formally announcing my retirement as a professional footballer," Robbie Keane said in a statement. "From Crumlin United around the world to the likes of Milan, London, Los Angeles, and almost Preston, I could never have imagined the path my football life would take". "I would like to pay a special thanks to Sid Snot at PNE-Online for believing in me and his efforts to get me that chance to play at Deepdale, the shrine of football. Sorry, Sid, it wasn't to be."

                            Amen, brothers and sisters!

Not as a player Ando. Scouting Browney, Robbo, Seani maybe and a couple of quick pints in't Black Bull in town. The dream has died .
