Looks like he's in good nick though and well bowled Mo.

Hales is an interesting option for the Test team though. He'd be very dangerous at 5 or 6 if encouraged to play his natural game. Will be interesting to see how he plays for Notts in Div 1 but I'm not 100% convinced he's got the appetite for Test cricket. Hope I'm wrong.
Ive always thought he could do a job at test level but it should have been a year or two ago.

In my opinion however, Livingstone now has more to his game and is better suited. He can do what Hales does ie destroy bowling (maybe not as quickly as Hales) but he is much more adaptable. He can block, he can rotate the strike, he can change the pace of an innings - Hales is nowhere near as flexible. Livingstone is also a better bowler than hes given credit for, Mr Hogg was extremely impressed by him when they played and trained together.

I do also think Mahmood would have been very close to this squad were it not for an injury hit season. Note how often he gets picked for Lions squads regardless of form and whether or not hes playing for Lancs. He is exceptionally highly regarded.

                    • Remarkable partnership by Morgan and Moeen - doubled England's score in the matter of 4 overs (Mind you, we we're 8/5 when Moeen stepped to the crease, so it wasn't that hard!)

What an absolute shambles! Now up to 21/5 after twelve overs. :0

EDIT... Yesssssssss, we've surpassed the lowest ever ODI total of 35. At 8/5, that was looking very much under threat! 38/5 now. What would be a good total from here then? I'm not even going to make a guess.

Does this show the English Psyche?

England have won 3 in a row with fantastic style, in the one day internationals yet the first comment comes on their first bad session of the series.

                        • Great way to wrap up the series in Oz - 4-1 to England.......

Great bowling by Tom Curran, who had a five-for...........

At the end of the day, it doesnt make up for losing the ashes, but it is some form of consolation.......

                            Good match. Enjoyed that.

Mo's catch was an absolute blinder.

Poor batting today. We should have made a lot more than 259.
