  • Chilvers looked really really poor!

He really did have an absolute nightmare of a first half, he looked really crap. His first touch was awful which resulted in him getting caught in possession more than one occasion.

He lost his marker also, numerous times. He did have a better half in the second 45, but I feel that if he is Simpson's first choice, goals will be leaked. I usually back players etc, but this guy scares me already!

I really do hope Mawene and Wilson are the two first choice center backs when we play Sheffield Wednesday.

Let's just be glad we have Wilson and St Ledger too then.
    I love you Woodsy.

Simpson has stated that Chilvers will probably not feature regularly in the first team this coming season. On Whites World he said that Chilvers has quite a long way to go in terms of getting up to Championship standard, so I don't think that we need to worry. Trust Simmo, everything will work out fine!

Ah, the old one for the future line.

This means he'll be first choice by Christmas due to injury or someone else leaving.

Well I think that Wilson and St Ledger are ahead of him, meaning that he will be 'one for the future'.

He looked slower than Lucketti who, incidentally, was sitting behind me in the STFS. Scouting for Warnock, maybe?

Scouting for Warnock? Nah. Maybe he just thinks you are a top bloke and just enjoys your company?

Nah, i've just listen to the interview again, Chilvers IS first team... he said that he is not looking to play SSL right now and he, is one for the future.. but he said that chilvers has played 33 games in league one and will get better as the season goes on, meaning that he will be playing him...

Christ, if I'd known that, I would have talked to him, instead of completely ignoring him

I have to admit. When they got their second, i was thinking to myself. I havn't seen us defend this bad for quite some time. And yes i am slightly worried about the defence for next season.

                            I'm a bit concerned but not worried....Yet.

With Hill to come in and Grezza in his rightful position thinks should brighten up in the next few weeks.

Wilson looks head and shoulders above Chilvers who on todays performance looked Unibond Level.

You've seen him play two matches. God damn it give him a chance.
