Very commendable that mate, but bear in mind you sound like you work in a 'career for life' type of industry that has provided you with work and comfortable income for over 40 years and counting. You don't sound likely to have been facing a career scrap heap in your early thirties like most footballers.
Dirty Harry. Spouting shite and nowt better to do since 2015.

Wasting West Ham’s money on Jordan may help get Moyes the sack. Probably when he saw JH s skill levels at close quarters he realised how far off Premier league standard he was. I think he bought him as a stand in for injured Andy Carrol but Arnie has been playing so well that he’s never got a chance. Where he goes from here is anyone’s guess. I just wish that he’d have stayed at PNE and then we might have reached the playoffs. But that’s all ifs and buts. In with the next striker.

Having in the last month been to Shanghai, rest assured the Premiership will come under increased threat by the even more ludicrous amounts of money from China.

No problems mate, been in the industry long enough for a reason, many times faced the career scrap heap and with three young kids in my early thirties, its called redundancy, you nearly got me feeling sorry for them, nearly.

Maybe why we hold him in such regard
Depends how you define the word "loyal".

In his own written words, he virtually admitted that on two separate occasions he wanted to go. Once to an Italian club (Palermo) where he was offered (in those days) a huge salary, bonuses, a car, a villa for him and his family to live in, plus free travel to and from England whilst living in Italy for a two year contract. I think North End were offered something like 30,000 pounds for a two year contract signing Finney's services. PNE turned down the offer.

Then another time he was illegally approached by allegedly someone representing Manchester United. Finney reported this to the club chairman, and nothing more came of it.

People tend to mistake loyalty for what it really was...........powerlessness to do anything about moving. And this was the case for all players until the George Eastham issue (sometime in the early 1960's) with wanting away from Newcastle to Arsenal. Eastham eventually won, and everything changed more or less from then onwards.

The new man will flog Hugill at a loss and he will continue to be an average championship target man. Can't blame the lad for milking Wet Spam for all they are worth, good luck to him.
OR Moyes for conning Gold into giving loads of dosh to his favourite club !

Middlesboro might need a target man for the Champsionship next season with Gestede moving south

And now Moyes has gone - Jordan will surely be on his way - with a fantastically healthy bank account after playing exactly 22 minutes for the Hammers - very credit to the lad - we’ll surely be seeing him down at Deepdale with one of the top end championship sides
