Sinclair injured?

Looked like hamstring
Yep chased a overplayed pass which the linesman decided to flag offside once he had run 20 yards to get it.

Looked like a twinge but they don't take any risk, hopefully its nothing more than that.

Didn't Earl get hurt at Bolton last season doing the same thing?

I'd play Maguire there and start Riis
If it means makin runs instead of being used to hold the ball up, then yeah, as his hold up play today, was erm.....well shite to be honest, an alot of that was to his feet!! Better from you Maguire next time out please!

We turned to shit going forward when Maguire went off to be fair, his movement was very good.
His movement is always good, it's his holding the ball up that can sometimes be an issue, but it wasn't all in the air today, it was at his feet. Think Atkinson mentioned it in commentary, he really needed to hold the ball up better as moves kept breaking down. Having said that, his movement causes problems alone though

I'd have left him on and just had one of Riis or Stockley come one who just looked lost.
Think losing Sinclair fucked up that substitution a bit.

To quote Gary Peters about Gary Bennett.

That was because Stockley couldn't control a bag of cement.

His movement is always pretty good but he no longer has the pace to make his movement very effective.

The main problem with him as a no.9 is with his back to goal he gives the ball away too often and he is no longer a serious goal threat.

He’s better off the left but that is obviously Sinclair‘s position. I would give Maguire that role and start Riis up front whilst Sinclair is injured.

Pulled up straight away as he got to the ball and was holding his hamstring, with the type of player he is using a short burst of speed, running and twisting, not a good injury.?

Sinclair was holding the back of his thigh not his hamstring. He looked uncomfortable rather then incapacitated. So hopefully if he does miss matches it will not be more than one or two.
