Frankie explains Sinclair & Murphy situations

There’s no doubt he will name an unchanged side again for whatever reason. Anyone who does half well is on the bench. Bizzare coaching in my eyes.

“That work rate he showed, I think he needs to do more of that to be brutally honest”

Says that like the rest of the team spends all game pressing. Not one of them broke into a sprint in the first half, and haven’t for several games, yet that lack of effort is only an issue for Sinclair? Assuming he thinks the rest of the team is doing it well?

Talking like Murphy has had loads of chances. He’s played 66 minutes

Ahh the usual shite of forwards needing to be dual role defenders. And sinclair isn't getting in the team because he isn't trying hard enough.

That is a near word for word copy of one of neils interviews.

We don't score goals so we need every man defending so we don't concede. Here's a novel idea. Maybe leave x 2 players up front for corners and free kicks and maybe. Just maybe we might end up scoring.

Spot on. He'll change Murphy into a defensive minded player in no time at all at this rate

So what he's saying is that since leaving Norwich Murphy is lazy and won't defend?

Had we not watched him before bringing him in? Strange he has highlighted that one peice of play when not one player tracked or pressed for about 80 minutes of the game.

This is all starting to very much sound like it's work rate over talent again.

Worrying times.

That’s obvious. Ledson preferred to Whiteman, Potts and Browne preferred to Murphy and Sinclair

Everything Frankie knows about management he’s learnt from Neil. And it’s damaging the team

So basically they will not start as in the opinion of FM they lack defensive prowess and don't track back and work hard enough defensively? 🤔
Was Murphy not signed as a wide, winger, attacking forward and isn't Sinclair the same or similar and perhaps the best finisher we have.
Take a look at how you set up your team, the formation you use and the tactics and then look at how you can change these to get the best out of our two most skillful, creative attacking players.? 🤔

With those comments, he comes across as completely clueless. Yes, Sinclair can blow hot and cold with his performances but he's still the best finisher we have and poses more attacking threat than others on the pitch.

Murphy has barely had a chance so not sure how he can come to those conclusion whilst consistent piss poor performers still get chance after chance after chance.
We looked better with Sinclair and Murphy on yesterday IMO and it quite clearly showed that the line up and tactics need freshening up.

He's basically already confirmed we will revert as normal to 3-5-2 (in reality 5-3-2) as that is how Cov set up.
We play 5-3-2, that is the FM prefered defensive formation with very little attacking threat or creativity, he seems happy to try to just stop the opposition scoring.
The football we are playing under his stewardship is going backwards, becoming more and more negative without any real threat of creating chances let alone having shots at goal, on target and scoring.
He is looking way out of his depth as a first team coach at this level.

Sounds like FM has been dusting off AN's old match dossiers.

Expects wide attacking players to be defending too, while giving a free pass to that midfield yesterday that Derby regularly walked through unchallenged.

Tough life being an attacker under the old AN/new FM "first goal kills us" philosophy.
