I have to hold my hand up…. I questioned Phillips’ inclusion in the squad.
He is certainly becoming a “ must start “ player….

Unbelievable defending from Croatia
It’s not looking great for Harry….
Mount and Phillips have been superb so far.
Got to hold my hand up. Fair play to Southgate. No 5 at the back. 2 holding midfielders yes, but against a midfield of the quality of Croatia's you can understand. By far the better team and have been some moments of quick passing football, which, whilst struggling to maintain today, bodes well for the rest of the group stages.
Saving him for a Gazza moment against Scotland.
