Marcus Rashford and the curious case of the PR Team/online abuse

Rashford and his PR is about to be exposed tomorrow in the media.

Seems Marcus (Kelly Hogarth) isn’t too happy about it as he’s put a tweet out about the upcoming story.

Just been reading his latest tweets. All tinged with an air of commerciality. It's all "partnership" and "relationship".

Aye. People are lapping it up as you’d expect.

I wish the bloke all the success, but the last 18 months have been him as the poster boy for football.
Didn’t have an issue till he used his pull and his PR to Tweet about racism 15 minutes after a final as a way of deflection.

Then pulled the same PR stunt 6 weeks after that (Euros) to the point his PR team are lining the pockets of media news sources to twist and ‘exaggerate’ the truth.

Hope this article tomorrow is a good one.

Some of you should be ashamed of yourselves, a young man, a wealthy young man who has chosen to use his spare time for the betterment of others and all hes receiving, from some, is criticism.

If he wants to use PR to help better the lives of others, good on him.

Or use it to develop a cult, become virtually uncritical.

Ive absolutely no issue with what him and his team are doing, if it means kids have a better life Im all for it. But then don’t use PR stunts and racism as a way of deflection from on field performances.

15 minutes after a Europa League final he was on Twitter saying he was racially abused. 15 minutes after? All attention on him and his social media pages, drops a children’s book next day which is now a best seller.

Misses a penalty in Euros? His team told the media he was racially abused at his mural, lie. You’d genuinely think the bloke died with some of the images.

If you can’t see through it all then thats on you. Not read this spectator article yet, but its clearly put a bee in his bonnet.

I remember once a guy trying to argue that Martin Luther King’s motivations where predominantly self serving.
I last saw him throwing sticks at the moon and trying to nail jelly to a wall
