I suppose this is what happens when you have a player who has played next to no competitive football in years. Going from being a training keeper/occasional reserve games to the hurly burly of the NPL is clearly proving a step too far. He certainly needs to regain his confidence, but the conundrum is, how does he do that without playing games?
 
Thomas just been taken off against Wrexham after 55 mins. Did nothing in the first half of note. Not good enough even at National League level imo.

Went along to the Brig game yesterday. They were much improved since my last visit. Hudson had a decent game. Wasn't troubled much but did all the basics right and the defence looked a lot more settled.

Had hoped to see Teddy Mfuni play for Witton Albion but he's out for the season with a hamstring injury. A big blow for the lad as his loan spell might have been his chance to get a 12 month pro-deal.

Brig also have a striker on loan from Accy, big lad who's learnt to control it with his chest from the Jayden Stockley school of striking, and a couple of lashers. Only Lasher 1 played, on the left wing. Hit the bar and looked technically decent with the ball at his feet and half a yard of space but lacking raw pace and a bit on the short side so might not be appearing in the championship in the next couple of years.
 
Storey scored for Sheff Weds v Bolton
Baxter played the last 20 mins for Radcliffe
O'Reilly played 90 v Dundalk last night in a 0-0 draw

Hudson recalled by PNE from Brig
Harrop unused on the bench for Fleetwood, again.
Thomas not in the last 3 squads for Halifax
Bayliss not been in the last 4 squads for Wigan
Coulton not been in the squad this week for Warrington either

Rodwell-Grant played 66 mins for Lancaster v Witton and Blanchard was an unused sub. I think Mfuni has gone on loan to Witton on loan but he wasn’t in the squad today.

I was going to write something sarcastic, but it’s not funny. How much have we paid in wages an transfer fees on the likes on Harrop and Bayliss and they can’t get a game in league 1. Embarrassing.
