    I think the Keane one was to make him look like he was being thorough. He wanted Frankie after we won a few games in a row. I know Gerrard applied before he went to Rangers, I think Giggs did to.

    I believe Lowe was Ridsdales number 1 choice. Apart from when he spoke to Billy Davies' representatives pre Westley, we've always got who Ridsdale wanted. The only real recruitment process was when Neil got the job, and he impressed most in the interviews.
