    The only way you will find out if they are good enough is by playing them. Give them all some decent minutes to the end of the season and if the look way off then try and send them out on loan to get experience and regular minutes playing competitive football

    This is why we shouldn’t be letting the better players be running down contracts though Riis is a bit of an anomaly with his injury as knowing North End’s luck if we had offered him a new 3 year deal he wouldn’t have come back the same player.
