Re: 'Airlines terror plot' disrupted

A muslim leader (how many do they need?) was quoted today as being fed up at the finger being pointed at the Muslim community as regards the arrested suspects!!!

Hello................................who else is it gonna be? Animal liberation Front?

The muslim community needs to do more about rooting out these scumbags who, as Graham Nelson mentioned, have declared war on civilisation.

I saw a trailer for a documentary about Islam. It featured a bearded muslim who thinks british women are immoral, wants the uk to adopt shariah(sp) law and that he had "sympathy" with the London bombers.

You know what to do sunshine, fuck off and live in a country that lives under shariah law, where the women wear burkas and where you can sympathise with murdering bastards all you want.

Until the muslim community as a whole do more to report and ignore these extremist wankers the police need to be given as many powers as possible to investigate and arrest suspects without the fear of denying them their human rights. The protection of the majority should come before the rights of a minority. ( In minority I dont mean Muslims in general, just the idiots)

Once the Human Rights have been ignored for suspected terrorists, do you really believe that it will end there? Or will you then allow the Human Rights of other criminals be ignored and before you know it where are the Human Rights for the people who just disagree with the government?

By the way, Animal rights activists are some of the most vile and hateful scum I have ever come across.

Whatever you say about the goverment, it will never happen here in a democracy.

The world has changed since 9/11 and it scares the shit outta me.
Drastic times need drastic measures. Police act on intelligence. Good intelligence and bad intelligence, but they need to treat both equally with the same threat.

The terrorist threat that we face is like something we have never faced before, "british" citizens blowing up and planning to blow up innocent civilians on a massive scale. If arresting suspected Muslim terrorists offends the muslim community then tough shit. They should be as happy as the rest of the population that the authorities are doing all they can to stamp out the threat. innocent muslims, truly innocent muslims, need not fear.

No matter what is said about the police, they do not act in the manner they do unless they have evidence and are confident of wrongdoing. Not for one second do i believe that the 2 suspects arrested a couple of months ago (where 1 was shot) were innocent victims. They have been reported for causing a disturbance outside a royal palace taunting gaurds saying"I hope you die in Iraq" etc etc..., while staying in a top London hotel at taxpayers expense.

They are such devout muslims, 1 of them has been arrested for being in possesion of child porn!!!!!

Re: 'Airlines terror plot' disrupted

What?

I meant with all the delays and all, can't even carry your duty free's!

Anyhow, the happenings of today, made me think, when I recently returned from the very beautiful and historic city of Prague, that I indeed myself did, unwittingly, carry with me in a duty free bag, the very ingredients of a very powerful weapon!

1. Bottle of Absinth (70%) (Stay off it kids, seriously mind bending stuff!)

And

2. 400 Regal Kingsize!

Why was I allowed to take such a lethal combination on a plane with me.

Did I forget to mention the lighter?

Fucking hell I sound like Yoga here! Apologies peeps and I can assure that I will not be telling you anything about my trips.

Maybe one day you will understand and I hope the day that you do understand you will still have time to do something about it!

Don't think for one minute that I am supporting any form of terrorism and whoever carries out terror activities wether it be religious fanatics or states, I believe the people responsible should be held accountable. Not one life is more or less important in my opinion.

Also, I have got to catch four flights in this month and while it may be a bit of a ball ache, at least I know that when there is heightened security the terrorists don't usually attack or attack something different to the supposed threat. Therefore, I wouldn't be too worried about flying as the security is going to be top notch and nothing will happen. So you can relax ptid! I may also be flying out to the good old USofA at the end of September so that should be even more fun!

Fucking hell I sound like Yoga here! Sorry peeps I can assure that I will not be talking about them futher!

Please explain.

Re: 'Airlines terror plot' disrupted

I've been impressed again by the "just get on with it attitude" shown by most travellers around the country. Hardly any trouble, just a general recognition that the police have done a good job and the security is a needed restriction at this worrying time.

What worries me is that if just one of the suspects is completely innnocent or houses being searched has nothing in it then the media and probably some hard line muslim leaders will jump on this and slate the police and the intelligence services.

Surley the simple answer to the complaints from muslim leaders is that... "all the suspected bombers are muslim". Im not sure if they want a raft of random multi faith arrests just to make it seem less religion orientated?

I just hope this latest public threat makes the governmet sit up, and just nudges a few of those "human liberty" groups stop pestering the government when they attempt to do something about human rights endagering the integrity of this country.

Ill be making several short haul flights in the next month and Ill quite happily go through extra security if it means im safer.

Re: 'Airlines terror plot' disrupted

I got back from honeymoon to greece flying in from Athens late last night............... No security checks took my hand luggage on the plane was delayed but it wasn't too bad. The fights to LHR were either cancelled or very delayed yesterday.................were going to Marjorca on Tuesday and i will not be permitted to take hand luggage on that flight out of the country? Now that to me doesn't seem consistant. We (my husband and i) commented on the fact that our European counterparts don't feel the need for such stringent security from their shores coming into the UK as we do leaving it. Now im not complaining cause im home, however it would have been very easy yesterday to take any kind of substance concealed as a drink etc yesterday onto that plane. The fact that we weren't checked was that it was Manchester and it was ok to fly there?!?!? This was the words of the airline staff at checking in which didn't really instill much confidence with myself or other travellers on that journey home yesterday!
