Brexit never? Britain can still change its mind, says Article 50 autho

It is quite clear that there will be control posts established at Larne, Warrenpoint and Belfast.....OUR government have admitted it. So it rather seems that the paperwork, which Johnson said wouldnt exist, does exist along with physical checking.

Anyway, it really doesnt matter, they can roll this clusterfuck up with everything else that's turning our economy to shit. Afterall, we will save £13bn a year in future which will almost pay for a month's furloughing bill

One of saddest arguments I've heard in recent weeks.. is the last few Remain desperado's arguing with a straight face "we should abandon/delay Brexit because of Covid 19" because it is so obvious that freeing the country from EU protectionist trade barriers is going to damage trade.

The European economy is going to be well and truly f***** so we are better staying with the Titanic than in a lifeboat.

Even more sad are the amount of people who are saying F*** the amount of people that are dying, right now, we`ll soon be out of the EU altogether.

When the nation is in a hole, I recommend keeping digging. Still, at least leaving will create a lot of new jobs, like customs officials, in the UK and when the economy will have shrunk by 20% by the year's end, a few extra % points will make next to no difference. I have every confidence that our government will handle everything between now and December on the Brexit related front with the level of competence that theyve deployed thus far on things like testing, care home safety and PPE and with the same degree of honesty and transparency. What on earth could go wrong?

The Titanic sank without trace you may recall

The eu was Better for Britain being in. We were better for being in. Their were lies from many. But one fucking toss pot saw an opportunity for himself and put himself before friends his party and country.

Full steam ahead.. what could possibly go wrong with Capt Von Der Leyen at the helm !

If the Covid crisis has demonstrated one thing.. it is that when the shit hits the fan EU countries will ignore EU regs... the EU has been about as useful as a chocolate teapot during the crisis.

Basic difference in philosophy I suppose.. I consider government to be required to organise genuine essential services.. once it expands beyond that basic remit in my experience it is generally worse than useless. And it starts to suck the economic lifeblood from the country or territory.

Politicians in my experience are like horse shit.. the bigger the pile the worse it smells but spread them around at ground level and they might actually do some good.

Socialists seem to believe that bigger extended government which of course must be their particular type of government is the answer to the worlds problems.. the main problem with it is there little evidence to support that view. They don't much value democracy because it tends to return governments that don't share their view.

Building upon its uselessness during the financial crash and the refugee crisis - where the stronger nations end up seeking to turn things to their own advantage. I fear that is about to happen again in the Eurozone - the costs of Covid will fall upon the weaker members, as if we have not had enough!

There is nothing anti-democratic about changing your mind. Farage Johnson gove rabb are are just blatant liars stoked by Cummins. The same people who shafted us with their £350million on the back of that bus are shafting us now. But as always most of us will get through but it’s the poor and vulnerable that suffer. They lied in 2016 and 2019. Playing the card “ I voted remain but we had a vote therefore that’s it” is saying fuck the vulnerable I’m alright

I know it is hard to believe that Brexiteers arent just acolyte's of the boogeyman that is Dominic Cummings, but having watched the EU shaft the vulnerable in 2008 we have some reservations that there will be any difference this time around

I agree that the EU has been less than sparkling but of course the fact remains that the sovereign nations that comprise the EU have always had the powers and independence to do their own thing (which they have)

As to the big government vs small government thing. I want a government which delivers effectively and transparently and which represents the interests of all. I dont want a government which looks after the few at the expense of the many and leaves the weakest and most vulnerable to sink or swim.

It's strange how big government has suddenly become OK when CV19 strikes though wouldnt you say? Can't get much bigger than spending hundreds of billions to save the country

Exactly - and, the signs already suggest that the weakest and poorest in the peripheral countries are about to be shafted again. Worries me deeply, to be honest.

I am concerned about about the vulnerable in this country at the moment Johnson Hogg and Cummins could not give a shit

I know its hard for you to accept but a majority of UK citizens voted to Leave.. and English people voted substantially to Leave.

Its a fact.. that in just about every major vote for the last 15 years it has been won by the party that adopted the most eurosceptic position. (Even if they simply faked it)

The Tories didn't so much win the last election as Labour committed electoral suicide by so obviously reneging on their promise to honour the Brexit result.

It’s class war again Johnson mogg etc keep the masses down by giving them patriotic promises that they have no intention of keeping

So do I. But how has the EU ever delivered that ?

Just as English money as some would call it transformed the rest of Britain eu money transformed places such as Eire Portugal and spain
