Watched the program the other night about Baha Mar in in Nassau. The world's largest mega-resort. $3.5 billion. It's got an entire underground city just for the staff. Pretty amazing place.

Somewhere I wouldn't have considered but will certainly give it a serious looking at.
I would like take a couple of friends who just don't ever have holidays so if I could get more bang for my bucks then great.
Varadero is a good beach resort to stay in if you want to visit Havana. Is about an hour by road if T remember correctly.
Stayed near the marina. The beach was fantastic and the sea was warm. As you would expect the music and dancing is fantastic.
Highly recommended.

Anyone recommend one?
Best time of year?
Looking for next year, not normally our type but have done one in Mauritius and was well impressed
Ive been to St Lucia, Nevis, Antigua and Tobago for holidays with side trips whilst there to Barbuda, St Kitts and Martinique. They all have something to recommend them In St Lucia, which we have visited 3 times, we stayed at one of the Sandals resorts. The second and third times we went with their "Butler Service" which was exceptional. We also did the same at Sandals Antigua. The key to their all inclusive offering is the room type. In Antigua we went in one of the rondovals which was amazing and had its own private plunge pool in the garden. In St Lucia we had a standard room first time we went (it was a really nice room tbh) and the second and third times time we had one of their suites which had a bedroom, 2 bathrooms and a lounge/dining room and a massive terrace. My favourite island was Antigua though there was something charming about Nevis too, though after about 5 days we'd seen and done everything on offer. All my trips were in December (one of them was Xmas and New Year) apart from Tobago which was February for Mrs E's 60th. We had no problems with the weather at all. I keep promising myself that we will have a proper holiday in Martinique; it's an amazing place

Punts Cana in Dominican Republic is very pleasant. We stayed at Royalton Bavarro, which was newly built in 2018. Lovely hotel. Fortunately the casino hadn’t opened for business!!!
