I passed my test in June this year, but I'm not as young as that makes me sound!;

Best car I've had, Nissan Micra.
Worst car I've had, Nissan Micra.
Only car I've had, Nissan Micra.
Like you I passed my test not that young, I was 40. My first car was an Austin Metro (?), Rover Metro x 2 , Vauxhall Corsa and Astra and currently Nissan Juke. I loved them all even though I’m not really a car person.

Ford Fiesta x4
Talbot Horizon
Mini x2 - 1 of which was the worst
Rover 216
Rover 214
Vauxhall Vectra x2
Vauxhall Insignia
Land Rover Freelander

Learnt in a Ford Fiesta.
First car was a Renault Twingo
From then on I've had a Renault Clio, VW Polo, Mini Cooper D 5dr, Mini Countryman and back to a Mini Cooper D 5dr.

Feel bad because my current car colour is Orange but lets be clear its not a B*******l Orange its a burnt orange.
I went to the club shop and bought a PNE keyring to help redeem myself when I got it last month

Me neither.

First car was a perfectly acceptable Corsa which I drove up to Chesterfield from Herts on the day I bought it from my ex-gf (1 nil Greegs).

Next was a Golf which was great until I started to fall asleep at the wheel.

I can vouch for the new Peugeot 3008 from the passenger seat.

My favourite was my Uncles Car that you could stick your head out of the roof, and had those Left or Right arm Signal things that let you know which way they were turning!. Circa `62-64.

And yes, I don`t have a clue about cars as I`ve never bothered to take a test ( should have done TBH).

I did have FAB1 and loads of other Matchbox cars when young though ;).

Anyway I digress, sorry.

Has anyone ordered a new car recently ?
Trying to get a build date from the dealership seems to be nigh on impossible
I’m hearing waiting times of up to a year !
There is no chance and the used car market prices are going through the roof because of it.

We checked ir out a couple of months back, but waiting lists incredibly long, and nearly new prices were way over the top. sticking with the oldie for a few months yet.

Ordered mine in October
Was quoted 4 months
I think I will be lucky to see it this side of summer
We offered our car in part-exchange for a new one, and they quoted a reasonable trade-in price on the waiting list. Now we keep getting email offering to buy it and the price has gone up twice.

The Kia Niro we got took from ordering to delivery 2 months and that included shipping from south Korea. We ordered just prior to the pandemic.
