GMP

“but they make funny jokes on twitter” all grasses, one twitter account in particular.

Unfortunately, match day coppers are most likely not the ones out on a Friday/Saturday night. Some are brought in from elsewhere and may not have the ‘streetwise’ nous that some other coppers might have on a match day - not all of them are dicks!

I think this is why things like this happen (aside from those coppers who are wanting to go in on people - and there are). If you are going to put officers in this position, they must have to prove they can keep their nerve and not have ‘just passed the course’.

Update on the Barnsley lad :-

Turns out that lad is 16 and judging by the image above - very lucky to be alive.
Thats awful, Recently policing has been getting worse. That poor kid will have long term effects.

I think that was the day I put an official complaint into the IPC about the policing.

Would you believe it the cameras on that side of the ground where broken, the police commander picked that day for no radio conversations to be recorded. These where amongst many other coicendences. 😉

For a force which polices one of the biggest clubs in the world they really make a right mess of policing North End at Wigan.

I wont go their by train anymore as the policing is stuck in the dark ages.

Thankfully nowadays their faces get plastered all over social media. Given enough coverage someone would identify the scumbag who assaulted one of our fans.

Likewise with South Yorkshire Police. Both have rats in their force who would be better off in the job centre

If you’re on about pne police, I’m not sure what he has to do with the assault by a South Yorkshire police officer?

My reply was in response to the incident which is believed to be caused by GMP. I would never blame a certain officer you speak about for this incident, as we know he never has anything to do with it.

I have no idea what happened. I parked in the visitor car park and left without any problems. There were a lot of police, Including the tactical support group. But it was safe and calm.

If you feel you were treated badly make an official complaint. . If children were kettled their parents must complain.

Otherwise. Nothing will change.

There was a kick off before the bridge under the railway on the way to the brickmakers pub. Young lad about 17 - 18 was attacked by a big shaven headed Wigan thug and knocked into a fence then to the floor. On rushing police shoved him back down against the fence and floor and slapped him in the face as he was trying to get up dazed and confused.

Then the cavalry charge came, behind them lots of coppers on foot batons drawn. There was bellends from Preston, Wigan and GMP all looking for trouble.

happened at Barnsley too. 16 year old given a severe head injury

Didnt see previous post about the Barnsley lad before posting, but the apparent step-wise increase in extreme violence by the police is a concern. The severe skull trauma dished out by the police was unnecessary and could have killed the lad. Police are trained to disarm and subdue and if that was necessary in this instance then so be it; I wasn’t there to see the context. But this degree of violence is surprising to see in a trained and professional police officer.

A police officer employed by the force which has spent 30 years covering up Hillsborough. It is institutionally corrupt and hates football supporters.

The ‘kettling’ I referred to happened at the same fixture about 15 years ago. I was with wigan fans at the time.

One of a few Wigan fans on Twitter stating it was Wigan throwing flares

Truly hope no innocent fans were hurt in this but when I was crossing the canal bridge there were a few handbags with a pretty large group of North End fans and a few kids on the bridge.
Wouldn't it had been oh so simple just to have kept the station bound North End fans back for ten or so minutes and disperse the Wigan dick heads before escorting them to the station.
Anyway, away from the unsavoury crap and well done on hanging out for a Cook assisted win. Hope our clown manager was watching the movement of your front four.
Could be a while before we meet again.

Went towards that bricklayers pub other year when ambushed by wigan ultras... the police clearly allowed the situation to develop... in Preston they would have had the pub under surveillance or even kettled

Bastards. Was this really necessary?
