As if proof were needed of what heartless so and sos the Tories are, Rebecca Long -Bailey (an excellent Labour MP) tweeted that the film showed the human cost of Tory austerity. The response from James Cleverly?

’You do realise it’s not a documentary?’

The denial is , in some ways, as bad as the act itself.

Cleverly isn't very clever(ly). He's the MP for the constituency adjacent to mine: he's an absolute clown. This sort of bollocks is typical of him

A chronically ill dad killed himself days before Christmas after DWP staff ordered him back to work.

Assessors stopped Kevin Dooley’s employment support allowance even though a doctor said he was too sick to do his job.

His daughter Leanne found him hanged after the painter and decorator, who suffered breathing problems caused by chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, lost an appeal.

I watched a programme a few month ago based on a black lad that was a courier, but classed as self employed. He worked all week but by the time the “agency” had taken their expenses, ie insurance commission etc, plus other factors the lad was in debt at the end of a working week. He topped himself, (Hink it was based on a true story) I just wanted to put my foot through the screen. Too many shysters being allowed to screw over the vulnerable and desperate.

They rise up in France against tax.

We as a nation really need to be heard!
They still are but for some reason the BBC have been told to give it no coverage whatever.

I wonder why?

Yes that was the programme I was talking about further up the thread. It is a true story, unbelievable that people can be treated so badly.

So essentially you’re saying what happened in the film doesn’t happen in real life? Wow!

id also appreciate proof that Mr Loach is an anti Semite.

Many, including myself, quotes Niemoller's poem:

"First they came for the socialists".

However, it is important to remember that the first people the Nazis came for were the disabled.

We see how disabled people have been vilified, starved & tormented now in the UK and barely blink.
