Is Lowe evolving?

Think he got hyped as City turned down £16 million for him from Southampton.
I'm not writing the lad off but no one can convince me that what we had on loan last season was a striker worth that money.

Would certainly be a risky investment at that price and the pressure would be on him to deliver fairly quickly

Archer is a better player than Delap but you could say the same about him.

Ultimately though someone is only worth what someone else is willing to pay.

Yeah I think that valuation was based off the physical development mentioned where he was ripping it up in the levels he played and it was a gross overvaluation - though who's to say if he had gone Burnley at the start of last year and played in their system he wouldn't have bagged 15 or so goals and seen as the next big talent.

Him and Archer is a fair comparison and with seeing both in the flesh we know who is better right now playing mens football

In the initial Norwich game where him and Cannon started I thought Delap looked more promising as crap as where that day.

Suppose that's the thing with these loans where players like Delap, Parrott, Patino for example have big hype and do so so. Then the likes of Archer and Cannon come in a bit unheralded and thrive

The physical attributes may show a higher potential ceiling, and at that age, they would be paying for potential, rather than immediate impact.

  • Club Record Transfer
  • Appointed his Own Backroom Team
  • Appointed Own Analytics/ Scouting Team
  • No Key Players sold during his tenure
  • Players signed with Championship Experience
  • Promising overseas players signed

By my reckoning after this window, RL becomes the most backed manager since our return to the division. Absolutely vital that he repays the faith the board has shown in him with winning, entertaining football now. Good pressure on his shoulders

Yeah as above, I’ll take winning football, entertaining is just a nice bonus.

No excuses now though.

Issue with Delap being that as a loan player he was here to deliver the goods in the here and now. No time for bedding in periods if you’re half season loan player, you need to hit the ground running and he didn’t.

And the same applies to pretty much all managers in this league, that the majority have been backed with substantially more investment.

You don’t need entertaining football to entertain.

Winning is enough entertainment for me and should be for the majority of fans.

I’m really not his biggest fan but never bought the fact that he had lost the changing room and the players were playing with their own tactics.

Where is @Thewhites. Does he still think that’s the case?

Echo what everyone has said now. Shit or bust for RL now. With the start we’ve had and the players brought in, we should be challenging for the Top 10.
