Great story from the weekend that the Jamaican Rugby League national side has qualified for the 2021 Rugby League World Cup in England.
They qualified by beating the USA in Florida, 16-10 in the play off final, having beat Canada in the semi. The USA had beat Chile in the other semi.
The team is partly made up of English based players with Jamaican ancestry and players from the Jamaican League. What makes it quite remarkable is the English based players have had to do their own fundraising to take part in the games/training camps as there is very limited funds for the sport from the Jamaican Government.
Hopefully this will raise the profile of the team and sport in Jamaica.

I wonder if the BBC know about the Jamaican Rugby League? It could be something that they could outbid Sky for the sole rights! :)

Maybe if there is a women's team they might

They made a film about the Jamaican Bob sleigh team.
Maybe they could do one about Jamaican rugby league? 'Luke warm running', perhaps?
