Its been signed apart from "the formalities" for weeks apparently ...
What even are formalities?
Formalities make me nervous.
It should be soon, so maybe May?![]()
I really like Whiteman but if he’s not signing a contract he must be sold in January.I would let Bauer, Cunningham and Hughes (constantly injured) go. Whatmough to be sold if poss, I think Seary can setup up to cover for Potts (given our other sicknote is a constant sicknote) meaning we need 2 CB's and a LWB.
We are sadly stuck with (on fire) Woodburn and the hapless Brady, sell Whiteman as he has been rubbish this season (and not great last one too), Ledson is a constant non starter so time young Mawene stepped up.
Signing Millar should be a priority as I think we are well covered up front with attacking options.
Now he's coming back to fitness, Luca Connell would be my number 1 choice, he was different class whenever I saw him last season for Barnsley.I really like Whiteman but if he’s not signing a contract he must be sold in January.
We will undoubtedly need a replacement and that will be difficult if we get nothing for him as I’d imagine we e spent our budget in the lady window.
I’ve also no idea who I’d like instead of him, maybe it’s another unknown foreigner?
You can't bring him or anybody on slowly by keeping them on the bench. If we loan them out it is someone else bringing them on. Different training, different systems etc. They come back albeit fit but having been away have lost the ethos of how we play. Back down the ladder to square oneTotally agree about Hughes over Best...
Thats not to say that i dont rate Best, i definitely do, but he needs bringing on and developing slowly, maybe carefully managing his gametime...
A done deal...

12 months ago people on here were saying our youth players were shit, not fit for purpose and why bother with the academy. Best breaks through and the same people are suddenly taking an interest in OUR prospects. Strange world !i would rather we develop our own players rather than get some shit cast off from the premier league.
And Robbie Brady has? I know who's wages I'd get off the books first.Ali McCann has never done anything in a North End shirt get rid...
Agreed, but sitting on the bench won't help either. It's ok saying that's what training is for but it is nowhere near as in a match situationBut it's not tactical stuff he needs to learn- it's how to defend against strong, quick, physical, adults.
I think you’ve misunderstood the comments/posts.I laugh when I read “he must be sold in January “
He doesn’t have to do anything
You can’t force a sale
If he wants to sit here till the summer and move on a free , he’s perfectly entitled to.

Totally agree. This lad has no need to go to a lower league club on loan. He's proved his ability at this level, why not allow him to develop under PNE? I get the point that others have made about him learning to play against more experienced, older players but, in my view, the same principle applies. You can't bring him or anybody on slowly by keeping them on the bench. Aye, he'll learn more being Hughes' understudy and getting experience at Championship level than he will in the leagues below.Totally agree. This lad has no need to go to a lower league club on loan. I've always thought we should set up a bit of an agreement with Fleetwood to send players there, more so now they're likely to have money trouble.
