Good points.

Only thing to note is that whilst the initial fees are relatively small, a lot of those fees rise dependent on performance and appearances.

Henry signed from Walsall for £1.5m but that fee could potentially rise to £5m. Similarly the Watkins transfer could eventually rise to about £4m. Most have sell-on clauses included as well.

I think this is a very smart way of doing things, because you dramatically reduce liability if the player turns out not to be very good. At the same time, they reduce their initial outlay such that they can afford higher quality players in the short term. When they got rid of Mark Warburton because he didnt buy into the data analytical transfer approach they got heavily criticised, but their transfer policy is by far the best in the championship and probably the best in England
Same with Sergi Canos who the bought from Norwich. His fee could rise to about £4.5 mill with a sell-on clause included

Hugill would defo fot the "look for players returning to their clubs" so could Wells who is now available seen as he's being recalled apparently.
I read somewhere on Twitter there's no recall option on Hugill's loan to QPR.

woo-hoo! ?
