I think it says it all that Blairites, as Labour MPs, would rather a Conservative government than a Socialist one, which would run the country into the ground.
I don't believe the whole notion of Blairites being 'Tories in red ties' - like I posted on another thread (I think), to those far left anyone right of Stalin is a Tory.
And since 1951, 45 years have been led by a Conservative government (happy to be corrected). So regarding 'historically', how far shall we go? That's the problem with socialism - it's dated. It's been tried, tested, and now rejected.
