All of that Garner type stuff of "at least he's our diving bastard" doesn't wash with this fucking thug. A shit thug at that.
Try telling that to the Islington Set and the media luvvies in regards to any one who voted for brexitYou can't be guilty by association. Just because someone speaks up for the republican cause does not make them a terrorist or a terrorist sympathiser.
That was handbags. We have history of that don’t we.
I'll whip McLean's head clean off pal. Me and you our Roy from't Ribble. He won't be tarmaccing my drive anytime soon after that uncalled for , callous, sticking assault that took place under the floodlightsThe biggest danger to Pearson from that extremely cowardly assault was whiplash. He wasn't expecting it and when barged into his head was "whipped" backwards. Must have hurt and no doubt was very sore/stiff next morning.
What relevance is his nationality? They obviously don't like it, the Irish prick has been warned.... https://www.lancs.live/sport/football/football-news/stoke-citys-james-mclean-warned-17749042
Don't get the hump. What do camels know about football anyway?
Your main evidence to support your stance is that referees never make errors? That is a weak point to fall back on. There is no argument here, both the referee and you are wrong...….end of story.
It was a very cheap shot and with some force and intent.
To be sure, to be sureThe fact he is Irish is irrelevant,
Not a difficult job getting into that ROI side really and he gets selected mainly as a fans favourite due to his political beliefs, not his footballing ability.
Sorry I couldn't resist. Nobody already done that one? Can't believe I'm the only one with a shallow sense of humour.Haha fair point

But he wasn't speaking in defence of the IRA so it's a false comparison you make. Similarly to speak against western interference in the middle east is not the same as being a terrorist or being a terrorist sympathiser. To label people as terrorists in this way simply allows governments to murder people and not face any kind of scrutiny. If it is proven that he has any links to a terrorist organisation then that's different.I'd love to hear your thoughts of somebody speaking in defence of ISIS.
Two completely different things. I suggest you go and do some research about Derry and try and understand why there has historically been a lot of Republican support.I'd love to hear your thoughts of somebody speaking in defence of ISIS.
Get off that fence.McClean is a wanker and a shit wanker of a footballer at that.
Hope that this clears up any surrounding issues.
So difficult to get nuance in any conflict.I suggest if we want to discuss the 'troubles' we set up another thread. I'm not that bothered to do it if there is the amount of bias fuelled by misinformation-republican bad guys-loyalist good guys: cowboys and Indians type simplifications. A brilliant place to start is the excellent documentary series by Darragh MacIntyre 'Spotlight on the Troubles: a Secret History'. On the BBC iplayer. Growing up on the mainland through the worst of it all with only mainstream media reports to shape perception gave everybody a massively skewed picture of what was actually happening. This series redresses that to some degree. I recommend it highly.
Yes but very important that we try. Good job that we did in the end and achieved 'peace'.So difficult to get nuance in any conflict.
