Aye I never thought it would be easy for them. Not many teams bounce straight back up from League One. It's only really teams like Rotherham or Barnsley who know the league well because they end up yo-yoing between the Championship and League One. Sunderland, for example, are significantly better resourced than Blackpool and even they were stuck down there for a few years.

On the contrary, I thought they'd have been more or less promoted by now. They have the divisions, possibly the best in the country, keeper in Grimshaw. Likewise Rhodes, Dembele, Lavery etc. With their MASSIVE, fervent support, I couldn't see any opponent leaving Bloomfield with even a point.

I must say in mitigation, I do occasionally take a peek at AVFTT. 🙄🤔

Anyone would think they were talking about Ousmane Dembele the way they bang on about how good he is. But to be fair they have plenty of proven championship players in their squad if they did manage to go back up… they’ve all proven they can’t cut it. 😆

Add to that their new striker they are comparing to no other than Fernando Torres 🙈😆🤣

Josephs goal

Josephs goal today reminded me of the one Torres scored from exactly the same place for Liverpool in our Prem year, Perhaps his angle was more acute looking back, but could not believe the finish when it hit the back of the net. He looks quality and looking forward to seeing him play this season.

We will be ‘well ahead’ of Oxford, Stevenage and Lincoln. This is the same Oxford who are currently eight points above Blackpool with two games in hand. Losing their manager or not it would be some fall for Blackpool to finish ‘well ahead of them.’

Fair point. They shouldn't really have gone down in the first place. It was all down to the incompetence of Appleton and McCarthy. Now Critchley is at the helm, there'll be no stopping 'em.

Born in Preston, Ando. Moved to Chorley when I was 4 and then to Manchester when I was 18. I live in Cheadle Hulme just up the road from Stockport. Been to the Plaza quite a few times. Nice traditional old theatre 👍
