And it was Tony Mowbray that got Sunderland out after four years , consolidating well in their first Championship season as we know 🙄 .

They've all had to do a turn in League 1 - Leeds three seasons , Southampton two ? , Notts Forest , Derby are still in it - PNE ( let's face it was on the cards and it had to get worse before it got better ? ) , even City in the last century , Wolves , Sheffield United who have a play off record nearly as bad as Preston .

Lack of respect for other teams along with the division and arrogance from our coked & spiced up ' friends ' .

Alex Neil wasn't it? Via the play-offs.

If Blackpool think they're a decent-sized fish in L1, then they're very wrong.

Sorry you're absolutely right , Alex Neil won the play off final against Wycombe but he was on his way to Stoke to be later replaced by Tony Mowbray .

But yes agree - don't think there was that attitude in Preston .

Trying to keep up with all the managers .

They did lose a playoff final to Charlton if I remember right and in the semi finals too .

Quite a few managers got the sack at Sheffield United for play off failures like Nigel Clough .


There was the time Ched Evans had his court case pending and Wednesday went up - that'd gone down well there 🙄 .

Yes probably advised to not go firing Ten Names Tommy's bullets when the police are making their enquiries ?

As for TR it won't be just the police , it'd also be the security services such as Special Branch and MI5 ? .

Similarly in Ireland the Gardai's Extremism Unit and Special Detective Branch have been taking an interest according to the Irish Examiner .
