Thursday night is family night for us, and tonight we did art instead of playing games. Here's my contribution.

Brilliant work, Silverback!

Some trivia on the crest (but you may have seen this already!) In heraldric terms, it's a "paschal lamb couchant argent" or (silver lamb sitting down!) ... try saying that with your mouth full. The Lamb's the Lamb of St Wilfred, patron saint of Preston.

The PP you'll see often on the city crest stands for "Princeps Pacis", Prince of Peace. But as is tradition in Preston, it actually represents "Proud Preston".

I'm many miles from Preston today but "Proud Preston" is a saying that will never leave me! Hoping one day it'll be Proud Preston in the Prem.

Great post crag
And another reason we don’t need a bl00dy duck at deepdale. Always a mistake was that

Thanks! I had forgotten the background on the lamb, but did remember that PP stood for something Latin and Proud Preston.. (y)

Here's to Proud Preston in the Prem! šŸ»
