Interesting, they've just done a feature on talk sport I think with Matt Holland and Beckford on air. Holland picked his 'five championship players who will move to the premier league next season.'
They were....
Mitrovic
Jude Bellingham
Phillips
Watkins
Eze.
I'm not sure about Pearson in the Premier League. I feel if he goes there, it will likely be with one of the team's promoted from the championship who will have been able to have had a good look at him at close quarters this season. As such, they will probably be one of next seasons weaker premier league teams and therefore likely to be overrun by most of their opponents. Pearson included.
How can they think Bellingham will actually play in the prem. even if one sign him he’ll go straight back out

I also don’t think eze is good enough either for the premier league yet

It’s because they’re not actually that informed on anything below the top half Premier League and West Ham.

They look at standout former Prem players and players at standout former Prem clubs. Even more so if they’re in London.

I listen to TalkSport every day as my job involves a lot of motorway miles. It’s ultimately regurgitated low level content. But I'm guilty of tuning in everyday.

They have been talking about the Chamionship Play-Offs for a few days now. West Brom’s quality over everyone else, how Leeds deserve to be in the Prem and Bielsa is “the godfather of football”, what a job Scotty is doing at Fulham, the style of football Brentford play and how Jim White goes watching because of Natalie Sawyer, the Lamouchi Revolution and how great it is to see Forest back up there. And then after that...nothing. No mention of PNE or Bristol City, never mind the chasing pack.

It’s actually embarrassing their lack of footballing knowledge. And Sky aren’t too far behind either.

Tbf, Sheff Utd are a top six Prem club, Wilder has turned shitter players than Pearson into effective Premier League players.

All depends on the right manager and set up, from what i've seen of Everton, Pearson couldn't do much worse than players like Tom Davies & Schneiderlin for them.
Great point, and Schneiderlin went for £25m from Southampton to United and United to Everton. I'd love to see Pearo in the prem, & in an England shirt.. I'd argue he's the type of player we need in the England set up even if he's not quite there ability wise. That said, I don't think he's getting there any time soon personally.

As do I - I like H&J, and Alan Brazil (when he bothers to come in) is always good value. Their knowledge of the championship is pretty dire although I do notice a couple of the guests they have in reasonably regularly mention Preston more frequently.. Sam Allardyce and Ian Holloway for instance. Heard a Leeds fan yesterday morning call in and tell Sam live on air he'd love him to take over from Bielsa which made me chuckle!

...Anyone know which bookies are most likely to entertain a bet on Ben to play for England one day then?

Probably all of them but it would be a shop job and they might have to find out for you.... But plenty have backed their own sons when they were kids so they should have a market for a Championship player....

Probably
If they carry on as is we may pass them on the way down ??
If only that could happen, would be one of the biggest highlights of my life, to see a load of glory hunters implode, i
this season in great in my house, we are both season ticket holders, but hubby has always Followed Man U since being a Kid and I have always had a soft spot for Liverpool since the early 70s I love watching the results coming in on a Saturday🤣

I hope Alan Brazil’s stupid fat head pops live on air one day. And Adrian Durham is a massive twat too.

Even when Pearson is average by his standards, he still holds the entire team together.
I still think if he trusted himself to have a pop at goal every now and then and not pass it sideways, he'd be more of 'complete' player..

I like Brazil, Laura Woods, Simon Jordan, H&J, The Sports Bar (Cundy and Goldstein), Danny Kelly's Trans Europe Express.

This one is an absolute classic!! 😂 😂

When I googled Brazil he did look like he was about to burst.. Durham is such a MASSIVE prick but I guarentee he gets the best listener figures - specialist WUM a la Piers Morgan

Talk sport with Beckford last night was quite funny, he was talking about joining Leeds. He basically said he signed on Sunday, trained on Monday, then played on Tuesday. To take the Mick, they then kept rewinding what he had just said, but to the backing music of Craig David's 'Seven Days' song. Beckford was pissing himself.
