Peter Ridsdale is a divisive figure. There will be much agreement on that.
I have dealt with him on a personal basis and he’s generally been co operative with dealing with people I’ve been with.

Everyone is aware that he is an EFL board member. We are repeatedly told that will bring bring benefits to Preston North End.

To see him presenting medals at the EFL play off final was a real kick in the teeth to Preston fans. An extremely poor judgment made.

Unacceptable many will feel.

The Hemmings family has a decision to make. This cannot continue. Preston fans this evening feel they have been kicked in the face and treated poorly.

I can’t believe such a poor judgement from Ridsdale

It's all about Peter Ridsdale the brand. He'll see his time here as being very successful. Only when he's gone, whether that's in a box or when a new owner magically appears from nowhere, will the majority realise the damage he's done to the club.

Nobody will give a fuck in 2 weeks time. He's still the owners' football guy, somehow, and this is not the straw that's gonna break the camel's back, if the recruitment etc haven't done it.

It will come as no shock to anyone on here or for Peter himself to know that I think it has been time for him to move on for a while.

I find it truly unbelievable that he didn't realise how giving out the medals for today's game, especially for Luton would be perceived by a large number of PNE fans.

what he does elsewhere is his business but I don't want him at PNE and if Hemmings family want a energy boost from the fans, Riddlers departure may do that. We have not moved forward whilst hes been here. Fans just want progress and the club addressing the cash flow without the fans being abused.

Doesn't bother me in the slightest as they are the actions of a blagger......... Hardly a surprise. He probably even volunteered.

He’s 70 years old does he not just want to settle down and enjoy himself rather than the stress of running a football club?

I suppose his ego won’t allow him.
There's no stress involved in this lucrative little retirement sinecure he's got going for himself.

Meanwhile the people financing the club were more likely to be watching the horse racing or the rugby this afternoon, than the football.

Makes you wonder just how easy he has it at the club really when you consider his age. He has plenty of money no doubt, so it can't exactly be stressful.
