Matchday Thread PNE v Birmingham City - 19/09/23 - KO:7:45pm - Championship

What a result! Another win still top 🏆 Fourth 2-1 win to the PNE. Didn't play that well at times. Alan Browne prob MoM . Big shout out to Holmes who never stopped running in 2nd half. Osmajic was hardly in the game & boots in the winner. Millar looked spent at end but Frokjaer looks like a very good footballer. Unbeaten & 4 points above Leicester who are the favs to go back up... Scary 😨

Didn’t play well tonight but other than the goal I don’t really remember Birmingham having a particularly good chance. Felt a lot more comfortable that we were going to see that out than any of the other home games.

Browne was brilliant second half.

Aye- nothing clear cut at all

Browne was awesome, and a great run & through ball to set up Big Ozzy

You also have to name them Pottsy, boy or girl. I'm afraid I don't make the rules.
Funnily enough we were at RPH a few weeks ago for a scan & he was in there with his partner at the exact same time, felt like it was too much of a personal moment for them though to have me approach him & call him a legend 🤣

According to Transfermarkt it's the 4th best start in the history of the championship (admittedly only since 2004/5). QPR, Wolves and Reading all won their next game, but no-one's gone 8-1-0

What a result. First half was cagey but no real alarms. Whatmough had a bad night at the office and we looked a lot better when Hughes came on. We didn't really get Millar into the game at all. Holmes and Potts ran around furiously and Osmajic took is chance superbly. But there was only one superstar tonight and that was Alan Browne. What a shift he put in.
