Army Of The Dead. (Netflix).

If you love Zombie films (I do), then this is a fun romp.

Zombies trapped within the constructed walls of Vegas. A Multi Million $$$ heist is attempted at one of the casino's.

Only one really annoying character (female) who, inevitably, goofs everything up.

Worth a 2 hour watch with your snacks of choice. (y)

7.5/10

Can confirm that this was a great watch.

Long Day's Journey into Night (2018) - (torrent)

Luo Hongwu returns to his hometown of Kaili after being away for a long time. Almost immediately, he begins the search for the woman he loved, and whom he has never been able to forget.

Loved this. Surreal Chinese neo-noir mystery. If you're into triple A Hollywood blockbuster action movies, this isn't for you. If you like surreal atmospheric foreign cinema, you'll love it.

8/10

The Decline (2020) - Netflix

A fatal accident at a remote survivalist training camp sends participants into a panic - and sets the stage for a chilling showdown.

I rated this highly, despite it's shite rating on IMDb (5.9) - 90% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Edge of your seat survival thriller.

7/10

The Dirt (2019) - Netflix

Based on the bestselling autobiography from Mötley Crüe, the film is an unflinching tale of success and excess as four misfits rise from the streets of Hollywood to the heights of international fame.

Second time I've watched it and it didn't disappoint. A great 'switch your brain off and be entertained' film. Very enjoyable.

7.5/10

Manchester by the Sea. Been trying to watch this for years. Incredibly powerful film in the same vein as good will hunting. 10/10

The equalizer. Standard violent thriller, elevated by Denzel. 6/10

Skater Girl. Indian set film with (from what I can tell) small name actors. It's a film about a girl from a low caste that is given a skateboard and her growing enthusiasm for it.
They built a skate park for the film which actually functions in Rajasthan.

Personally I didn't think it was realistic in most parts and didn't reflect the culture she was part of, trying to be an indie film but still very Hollywood, the storyline has already been done in films like Wadjda.

4.5/10.

Daniel (Sky Movies)

A young Danish photographer is captured in Syria by ISIS and imprisoned under the watch of Jihadi John.

Based upon the true story of Daniel Rye.

Has anybody been to the cinema since they reopened? do you have to scan the qr code or give them your name and address for track and trace? if you do i'm not bothering going, i'm not risking a ping or a call telling me to isolate.

I went to Odeon ont dock after booking on the website, straight through after printing my tickets no check, no track and trace, no nowt.

Nothing when I went.

Only two or three other people watching the film, yet the pimply youth behind the counter sold us seats directly behind one of them.

He also moved in slow motion and hadn’t heard of the movie.

For any marvel fans/geeks out there (yes I'm one of them 😬) I went to see Black Widow last night, it was alright, fair bit of humour but nothing amazing. I'd give it a 6/10. For anyone that watches it be sure not to miss the added scene after the credits, it'll make sense if you've watched the Falcon & winter soldier series.

Same for me…. Went to see Cruella at the Vue in London.

Booked online, printed tickets at the machine and walked straight through to Screen 3
