Maybe it's about time some of the players with one year left show a bit of loyalty considering they were paid in full whilst other players at clubs were on a percentage during lockdown....got no problem with at least 2 of the "big 4" going as long as the money is reinvested back into the team. This sadly though will not happen...would like davis from villa on loan, reiss Nelson from arsenal on loan(didn't make the bench on Saturday) and a cheeky bid for jack Marriott from derby.

Why should they? If you knew you could get between 25-50% for doing exactly the same job at another company would you be prepared to accept a 5-10% (guessing) payrise?

Jack Marriott? Please behave!

He's definitely on a lot more wages at Wayne Rooney's Derby County than what we could ever dream of affording 😂

All Sedds and Hodgson need to do now is add 2 and 2 together and say what we're all thinking. AN is practically willing them to call out Hemmings on his lack of investment and vision.

Neil is doing that on his own. He’s once again letting everyone know he’s doing this job with one arm and both legs tied behind his back whilst also blindfolded.

Sedds and Hodgson will know exactly what’s going on. Everyone can see it. If you’re waiting for them to ‘call out Hemmings’ you’re going to be waiting a very long time. It simply won’t happen. Not in print anyway. As frustrating as it is, Hemmings is entitled to run his business as he sees fit.

Lets wait and see if anyone is signed at the moment it all rumours like we were after Johnson from accy which I don't even think we were after him

We will all be waiting a very long time but hopefully the loan move for the striker materialises quickly.

I think we were after Johnson who had enough of waiting and signed for Pompey but someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

There was a suggestion at the time that Sinclair took the best offer he could closest to Manchester so his better half could go into Coronation St, anyone a fan knows if this has happened?

Looking at it logically although she's not in Corrie any more I think she's from Bury originally so it's not beyond the realms of possibility that they wanted to come back to the NW so the fact he wasn't getting any game time at Celtic plus signing for us fitted in nicely.

All very depressing.

Basically, we don't/won't pay enough to be able to get quality players to come and sign for us. And we don't/won't pay enough to get players that have built up a reputation as quality championship players with us to stay.

I'd normally say we should be reluctantly cashing in on Davies, Pearson, Browne, DJ etc with them being OOC in June, but what's the point? Even if Hemmings gave every penny of the transfer fees to PR & AN to spend, if the wage ceiling remains rigidly the same, no players worth decent money would come anyway as they can get bigger salaries elsewhere.

We need a miracle this season, or we're fucked.

Unfortunately many on here will not wake up and smell the coffee. As recent ticket sales have shown we are a league one club trying to compete in the championship with the help of a generous benefactor. White Horse pointed out that despite all that their fans have been put through and where they are now Bolton still managed to sell double our season tickets. Until the people of this town start to get behind the club in sufficient numbers we will continue to shop in the lower leagues for up and coming talent, a policy which has actually served us quite well in recent years. Thankfully the vast majority of our fans do understand this.

It wouldn't surprise me if we do a Spurs and not sign a single player in this window.

In fact, they went 2 consecutive windows without making a signing!

Hemmings thinks players should only get paid £25 a week with a Ford Cortina as the signing on bonus. Do you honestly think he is aware the internet exists let alone Twitter
You forgot the sheepskin coat.

Hemmings should set the playing budget for the season and then let the people like Ridsdale and the Finance Director determine how that is spent. If he thinks they are incapable then replace them.

We should have tried to tie down the so called big 4 contracts last year. Did we try or have we just left it?

From the outside looking on it feels like an employee of the club would need to go to Hemmings to requisition a new toilet roll.

I appreciate that the owner is spending a lot of money on the club, but it also feels there is a deprivation of oxygen within the club that is taking the life and soul out of the place from contracts to merchandise to ticketing etc.

Conveniently forgetting to mention that Bolton's season tickets start at £262.

Plus the fact some folk actually get more exited when you drop into a league that you can actually compete in, rather then boringly stagnating in the Championship, year on year, with nothing changing.

Maybe contract negotiations were going well until Sinclair arrived.

Ah! You’re speaking for the vast majority of fans now and not just the Sherwood 20!
