Maybe it's about time some of the players with one year left show a bit of loyalty considering they were paid in full whilst other players at clubs were on a percentage during lockdown....
Is that you Peter?

Unfortunately many on here will not wake up and smell the coffee. As recent ticket sales have shown we are a league one club trying to compete in the championship with the help of a generous benefactor. White Horse pointed out that despite all that their fans have been put through and where they are now Bolton still managed to sell double our season tickets. Until the people of this town start to get behind the club in sufficient numbers we will continue to shop in the lower leagues for up and coming talent, a policy which has actually served us quite well in recent years. Thankfully the vast majority of our fans do understand this. Why should they? If you knew you could get between 25-50% for doing exactly the same job at another company would you be prepared to accept a 5-10% (guessing) payrise?
It wouldn't surprise me if we do a Spurs and not sign a single player in this window.
In fact, they went 2 consecutive windows without making a signing!
You forgot the sheepskin coat.Hemmings thinks players should only get paid £25 a week with a Ford Cortina as the signing on bonus. Do you honestly think he is aware the internet exists let alone Twitter

Maybe contract negotiations were going well until Sinclair arrived.Hemmings should set the playing budget for the season and then let the people like Ridsdale and the Finance Director determine how that is spent. If he thinks they are incapable then replace them.
We should have tried to tie down the so called big 4 contracts last year. Did we try or have we just left it?
From the outside looking on it feels like an employee of the club would need to go to Hemmings to requisition a new toilet roll.
I appreciate that the owner is spending a lot of money on the club, but it also feels there is a deprivation of oxygen within the club that is taking the life and soul out of the place from contracts to merchandise to ticketing etc.

Ah! You’re speaking for the vast majority of fans now and not just the Sherwood 20!Unfortunately many on here will not wake up and smell the coffee. The DJ money will go in Trevors back pocket....So the 800k we were ready to pay Lowe and £2m minimum we would take for DJ is not enough to buy a striker?

How times have changed..... I am currently watching the “ English Game “ series on Netflix......Why should they? If you knew you could get between 25-50% for doing exactly the same job at another company would you be prepared to accept a 5-10% (guessing) payrise?

it is about a bunch of cotton mill workers who formed a football team ( Darwen ) and they were forced to take a pay cut in thier day jobs to ensure that they kept the jobs, meanwhile the football manager ( The Mill boss ) brought in a couple of lads from Patrick and started paying them £3 a week to play football whilst the rest of the team played for the love of it !!
The manager of Blackburn then approached one of the two players ( Fergus Suter ) and offered him a £100 signing on fee and doubled his wages to £6 a week....
That was back in 1880 and obviously the start of the rot....
According to Aldi, they provide real Quality on their budget. I believe the Quality is there if you look hard enough and at the right price. It's ok him having a figure in his head, but times and football moves on, as do the numbers. He should know that, and we should be at least making an effort to keep compete, or we will slowly get left behind.
A striker probably being the most important role in the team (if you get the right one) and we are pissing about with an Aldi budget.
Isn't that part of the irony about the modern game is we were complicit in the start of ramping up wages and transfers etc under Suddell?
In and around the play offs for the last three seasons to get to the biggest league in the world. That's a magnificent achievement for a small town club. Have some of you ever been out of Preston? Get on the motorway in Sheffield, drive for Twenty minutes and guess what, your still in Sheffield. The small mindedness of some on here is astonishing to say the least. The people of Preston over the past 60 years haven’t experienced anything like the success Bolton have and the way the club is run currently are unlikely still not to experience such success. So you reap the seeds you sow.
