Summer 2022 : Transfer Window Rumours and Discussion

Riiis wants away. Head turned by a big wage offer from Boro.

Lowe has the final say about whether he keeps a discontented player or sells and uses money to buy a replacement.

Problem is everyone is after strikers and we need 2 if Riis goes. He may well stay and we revisit in January.
Give him a pay rise

really frustrating more than anything in this window, players gone but yet we need to get rid of more and that just isn't going to happen, no one wants harrop or olusunde because of their injury records, we cant bring any permanent deals because of this which i reckon is complete bollocks and an excuse to say we are broke, Riis being linked away could either help us or damage us if it isnt reinvested swiftly.

Remember last month when people were being labelled "bedwetters" for wanting a quality, permanent striker and RWB signed early in time to influence the 8 games before the transfer window closed...?

Only the very dregs of free transfers left available now or players with so much cash in the bank they aren't motivated by playing (or our budget)

Basically we're now waiting to see who won't make other team's 25man squad, and will ask to loan them FoC at the very last minute.

Or we could sell our most valuable player and maybe spend a bit of the money on Robbo - if WBA will come down on their asking price.

It's the same story as every other transfer window, as if the new regime is just like the old one after all.

In isolation its another good point & clean sheet.

This division is there for the taking this season. Good manager, playing good football, players given it all, decent attendances, fans behind the club.

It's time do what's needed and sign what we need.

This is exactly the conundrum I stated a few days ago. Riis will obviously want to leave and if we don't sell will just sulk so that's no good to us. But, there's no way our abysmal recruitment team will sort out a replacement in the next 10 days. Not a chance. It takes us at least 3 transfer windows. We may fluke a Robinson deadline day deal but that was irrespective of the Riis deal.

So much for Archer coming back here !!
People have been saying all window that Archer will go where he’s told to go, yet some fans won’t listen and think he’s guaranteed to come here and will refuse anyone else
