Negativity!!!

Tbh good summary and with this backdrop great start to the season in the league by all, Inc lowey who's comments post sat about our approach were spot on.

The Cannon at Deepdale was shambolic

And I'll be honest, IF riis isn't far off say a month or so I feel a forward isn't 100% priority bearing in mind Keane's contribution so far. Its all about the fullbacks again and a centre back would be my key areas.
This is mostly my thinking, we have cleared out a lot of deadwood, cut down our wage bill and made a decent job of re-balancing the squad. The success of the window hangs on our ability to sign a Wing-Back on each side.

What? So who would you play upfront if Keane gets injured on Saturday out of interest?

I posted similar (as I was told after the Sunderland game that he had left) in the Rob Kelly signed thread, however I now can't find that thread - unless I'm being completely blind!

Have you heard similar or am I the potential rubbish source 🤣
A bloke I know who follows Blackburn Rovers told me over a week ago that he had heard that Gary Bowyer was on his way to North End in some capacity…..

Could it be as Rob Kelly’s replacement ??

I think we should send either Ryan or PR to watch the Merseyside mini derby tonight, as Tom is rumoured to be playing for the u21s tonight. To see if we can get an answer from him or anyone else. Only joking HAHA 😂

I’d absolutely love to be proved wrong mate…
It being our ‘best window in years’…
Losing Johnson
Losing Cannon
Losing Alvaro
Losing Bambo
Losing Parrot

Gaining Jensen
Gaining Keane
Gaining Stewart (not ready)
Gaining Ramsey (gone back)
Gaining Whatmough (Bambo type fuck-up in game #1)

Shows how shit our transfer windows have been in the past.

Just ‘wait to see what happens’ Been waiting since I was 11 in 1978…PMSL 😂😂😂😂😏😏😏😏😏🤞
Whatmough will be our captain next season & one of our top players you see . What is it Keane 2 in 2 games & meds looks a better player than any that have left .
Calm down I still think TC will come & a LWB & maybe 1 more if we could get some our .

Its a good job we won on Saturday. Can you imagine the mood on here 🫣

So has anyone got any positive news on this dull and wet Monday morning?

The sun isn’t even over the yard-arm Bowland.

This thread has mirrored the traditional Three Act Opera that is PNE perfectly.
Act one.
Clear out of Characters from last seasons show and promising introduction of new faces. All hope and wonder.
Act two.
Main protagonists dancing around not doing much. Lots of hot air and speculation and gets tedious at times until..... the Jester makes an appearance with his party trick in pre season friendly v Aberdeen [a match I thoroughly enjoyed btw]
Act Three.
Starts enthusiastically and the crowd wake up. Some unexpected movement on stage and leading Players begin to take their places and the suspense rises. Who will end up with whom? and will the fat lady sing an aria we all like when the window closes, or like Madam Butterfly, simply fall out the back? [ sorry for the spoiler]

I cant wait. Very interesting.

Davies got three games in League 1 and then a loan to York in League 2.

Didn’t do him any harm.

On the other hand, there’ll be similarly inexperienced kids in Prem Academies that won’t offer us much more.
Yet a certain Mark Lawrenson at a similar age walked into the 1st team and stayed there. Didn't have a bad career did he? Similarly did Michael Robinson.

Radio silence on a LWB. Very reminiscent of last summer transfer window when Lowe started off saying that RWB was a priority and then as the window went on you slowly heard more about how the likes of Browne etc could play there if required.
It's concerning, we definitely need one. Brady is always injured and Best is very raw and still learning the game. Was caught out quite a few times positionally on Saturday.

Everton have just signed jack Harrison on loan, hopefully paves room for cannon

Hopefully he only wants us, but if someone comes in for him on a perm we are fooked
