I have too, I've already watched a few of his videos.I just subscribed.
Sharoe Green Hospital was where I popped out.Or and most importantly, I was born in Preston.
Kathleen Ferrier too wasn’t she an opera singer?
That's great to hear, thank you so much!I have too, I've already watched a few of his videos.

Ditto. 👍Sharoe Green Hospital was where I popped out.
Technically (wikipedia) her birthplace is listed as Higher Walton.
Probably explains why, before your post, I hadn't heard of her - I need to get out more 🙂.
Her 'big hit' was Blow the Wind Southerly😉Technically (wikipedia) her birthplace is listed as Higher Walton.

Kathleen Ferrier Memorial Garden, Higher Walton, near Preston
In the village of Higher Walton, by the side of the River Darwen on Higher Walton Road, stands a memorial to Kathleen Ferrier. One of the most celebrated singers of her generation, she was born in …lancashirepast.com
Coming from Preston, along Higher Walton Rd, Shop Lane is on the left just before the river and the memorial garden is on either side. I saw it last time I was mooching around "the place that time forgot".
It's also only a hundred yards from the ancestral home of the anglo-australian crooner from the 60s, Frank Ifield. His grandfather was born and lived, until emigrating to Australia, on Cann Bridge Street where the post office now is
It was....is! A North East folk song I believe.Sounds a banger.
It's fairly niche (and utterly pointless) knowledge! Frank's grandfather, William Calbraith Livesey, is commemorated on the war memorial in the churchyard in H Walton. He was killed in France while serving in the Australian army in April 1918.I had no idea about this. I quite liked I Remember You, The Wayward Wind, She Taught Me To Yodel and Lovesick Blues🙂
That guy off Tomorrow‘s World as well. There are quite a few famous Prestonians.
Off the top of my head, Roy Barraclough, Fiona Armstrong, Peter Purvis, John Inman, A J Hartley, Andy Flintoff and don't forget Clarke Carlisle.🤣
I introduced myself to the world at Preston Royal Infirmary.Sharoe Green Hospital was where I popped out.
Me too.I introduced myself to the world at Preston Royal Infirmary.
Likewise.I introduced myself to the world at Preston Royal Infirmary.
My dad was a Lasher, as was my Grandad. We all married lasses from Preston.Me too.
So why did you come out as a Lasher? I think your mother should sue! 😂
