Trainspotters

I would LOVE to purchase a Quality Reproduction of this map.
Can anyone help , please ?

Not exactly the one you're looking for but it's a start...

You definitely don’t want to be in the way if The Flying Scotsman and (reportedly) The Royal Scot collide. Hopefully everyone’s ok.

Relatively low speed shunt apparently, less than 20mph with Flying Scotsman hitting the Summer "Royal Scotsman" stock too hard while coupling up. The two people injured are catering staff hit by items falling from shelves etc

10 days later and Flying Scotsman is back on the main line...

I saw this on Facebook earlier, I knew they’d filled the arches in at some point but hadn’t seen a photograph for some time of how the track looked before they did it.

This is the Wet Lancs line around 1922 apparently, with a train shortly after leaving Preston station.

@Sid Snot and @Lord Edgington just stumbled across this which I found fascinating!

Health & safety was very different at Blea Moor back then...

That's absolutely brilliant. I'll watch it in its entirety later. Settle-Carlisle has to be one of the most panoramic stretches of line in the UK. 45562 - 'Alberta' worked Leeds - Carlisle - Leeds regularly until withdrawal. It wasn't preserved and went for scrap. Preserved 45699 - 'Galatea' has been running as 45562 recently.

I've never seen colour footage of the S&C like it before!

Yes, there‘s a bloke on a Penwortham Facebook page who’s been posting quite a few pictures recently of the line through the area.

Not on that line but I’ve had a decent look round the line around Preston Junction recently. There’s still plenty of signs sof the old line and even were the station used to be.

I've a few photos myself from the past few years showing the site of the lines round Whitehouse Junction. Will post a few later.

Bought Train Sim World 4 for the PS5 in the Black Friday Sale. I'm new to it all, having never played the previous ones, but the level of detail is amazing.

I've fucked up a couple of times - once during the training where I was coupling a Class 66 to some wagons and it suddenly started moving before I could get back on. It ran away and eventually derailed! :ROFLMAO: Also failed a scenario as I passed a signal at danger.

Anyway, here's The Flying Scotsman which I was driving (my actual screenshot from the game)

An add-on was recently released which is the Preston - Blackpool branches and Preston - Ormskirk where you can drive a pacer.

It's going to take some learning but I think this will be a lot of fun!
