At Least Graham won’t be returnin.

See that's the problem with this policy. Yes you'll get the odd gem but players who don't step up won't be getting much interest due to to their lack of impact in the English game so you have to endlessly loan them out until they've got hardly anything left on their deals. Burke barely scored any goals for Notts County when they were in league 2. Strange signing.

Can't West Brom pay about 50% of them?

All this talk of wages but Sinclair must be paid a fair amount given the clubs he's played for in England and must've been one of the highest paid players at Celtic.
Celtic have a really strict wage cap. It's been in place for years. Think when Roy Keane went there for half a season he was paid directly by either a fan or a shareholder.

Why would West Brom pay half the wages of a player when another club could pay, say 70% of his wages. That’s the problem with our slim budget

Shows the intention of one owner close by, by upgrading their training ground; and now putting in great signings like this.

Swear we was told on here we was looking at him too.

I did try (and fail) to make light of nothing happening at the club transfer-wise so far - mainly because the last few years we usually bring people in early doors, look like we're making a proper go of it for once, then get tired.
We're either sitting and waiting for some/all of the better players to go then deciding what to do to fill the gap - or, we've booked a few rooms somewhere and are in the middle of some proper meaty negotiations with lads who will actually improve the team from day 1.

Love to think it's the latter scenario, but been around too long to put any money on it.

Wednesday have released that giant new you who always causes us problems, is he fixed up with a club yet?

Big handful but was on a decent whack at Wednesday ..not mobile enough for us as doesn't bring anything that we dont already have.

Dave Seddon started the week declaring it was a crunch week for contract talks, and ended it reminding us about fringe players who AN could use to replace departing first-teamers next season, "providing he is still here".

Eerily similar to the articles in January reminding us of all the players we've got who are able to play 'up front'. Whilst we struggled to sign a striker.

My expectations for this summer are probably as low as they ever have been.
