I’m just watching Pompey v Accrington and Dion Charles is playing up top for Accy...

He is a big unit and puts himself about quite a bit but I’m not sure that he is good enough for the Championship...

I know that one or two people have touted him on here...

Think its common knowledge we're one of about 6 championship clubs whom his agent has held talks with. We've offered 1.5 million but can't/won't compete with the others on wages. Stoke or Brentford I think I read were his choices.
 
I’ve watched over a dozen Stanley matches on ifollow and can say that Dion Charles isn’t a big unit although he’s strong. Hes more of a bustler and reminds me of Richard Cresswell. He runs the channels, never gives up and thrives off flick ons from Colby Bishop. Is he better than what we have? I’d say no but he could improve with coaching and better players round him. I believe he comes from Preston and whether that increases the likelihood of us chasing him is debatable. As usual it will all come down to value for money.

I wonder when we will find out who’s on the retain list. Although we have a good idea of it already.
 
Confirming when the EFL window ends would help..... some sites say Aug 31st, others Sept 2nd......

I need to know what night to keep blank so I can end it gutted and dejected !
 
Jury’s out on Barky and Storey for me.
Not sure if the new manager will instil some lost confidence in the former- but ….
As for Storey there are glimpses of improvement with more maturity around him, but the lapses are often match defining

What are we doing to avoid a mass exodus of players? Not much being mentioned about extensions through official channels but perhaps those ITK are privy to this.

I am really concerned about how we go about managing our squad in terms of contract and development at the moment.
