My friend however doesn't read books and has never finished a book through choice in her life. Her dad set her a challenge for the holiday, Read an entire book and he'd give her a 100quid.

And we wonder why kids have no discipline or drive in life now.

Went to Longridge Palace Cinema last night with the kids to watch 'The Muppets'
Quality Retro night highly recommended.
£4 admission, 50p for a mug of tea/coffee/hot chocolate, which you can take in to the flicks, refreshments all reasonable prices. Evening starts with The National Anthem, everyone standing I kid you not and following the Pearl and Deans and trailers there's only an intermission with a torchlit female carrying a tray of ices.
Took me back to my youth. Oh and the kids loved it too...

The Longridge Palace is an ace cinema, have taken the lad there a few times now.

Went to see Dunkirk this afternoon. Was quite good. It was sold out at Vue. Seems that there are lots of building works going on and there aren't as many screens in use. Went to Odeon and it was ok.
